Diipa, I relate to every bit of your journey. I am 24 and the nightmare started back in 2007. I was prescribed a similar drug couple weeks ago and my skin has got worse and so dry. My lips and face peel like crazy. It is embarrassing to face people. No moisturiser works. Your video makes me want to be persistent with this medication. Thanks for the video. You are amazing.
I'm actually doing something very similar right now! My skin is just peeling off my lips, my face is slaking and my body is scaly. But my Dermat said this would happen. I'm really happy to hear that it's working out for you! Looking forward to watching the scarring video. This video was so good and so relatable. Please make the scar video sooner than a month from now :(. I'm on acutane right now for 3 weeks. And I see a change already. Its not just the acne but my skin looks better for some reason already. I'm planning for acne treatment soon. I also think maybe you should mention that this medication is not to be taken if you are planning to get pregnant or if you are carrying or breast feeding. This is what my doctor told me :)

I had acne since I was 13 yrs old and I had it for 15 years of my life, also pus-filled acne and even formation of sebaceous cysts on my face. I also literally tried everything, everything there was to get rid of it without luck, many times making it worse. Only last year at 27 did my dermatologist prescribe roaccutane and a strict skincare routine. Every 2 weeks I also have to go to a cosmetologist for a facial and removal of excess sebum, thats how bad it was. But now finally since January it started clearing up, I haven't got acne anymore but still working through the residual marks. I loved hearing about your journey, I really identified and made me feel better about my struggle. Did you have a lot of residual acne marks after it cleared and how did you clear it up? I relate so much. I spent hundreds on korean skincare, home care, pills, etc... I never wanted to try Accutane but did retinols and birth control. #wetriedalotsquad now my skincare is so simple. Rosehip oil & Frankincense for my nighttime routine & Versed for day time :3. I also drink celery juice which seriously cleared up everything. Diet is essential! I have scarring/redness left but over time I’ll deal with it too 😂
I took accutane (thats whats its called in Canada), but after one year my acne came back, not as red and inflammated but it still came back. i don't want to do another course of it but just want people to know that it may not be permanent! Also the scarring from taking accutane was not nice at all, deep lumps were left on my cheeks and they have almost disappeared after a year, but just thought I would mention that as well.
Jess Ram same happened to me. It does come back, not in the same quantity but what I noticed for me is whenever I’m out of my routine and eat different foods more fatty or sugary foods the pimples come back. I try to take supplements and probiotics and drink lots of water and I feel that helps to keep the skin a little better.
Isa Plume I was given antibiotic too when it came back, but in my case it didn’t last long and once the dosage was finished it did come back. But as I mentioned before, just have a look and see what is it that you are eating on your regular basis. I really think it has something to do with our food intake. For me it has made a difference. Also I stick to the creams given by my dermatologist, avoid make up only apply for events, do mild peelings whenever my doctor suggests and I have seen differences. My pimples are not gone they do come now and then, but I take a look at what I did or eat in the past few days and fix it. Let me know how your antibiotic treatment goes! Wishing you a happy skin!! The acne always comes back when you've taken Roacutane. Mine was clear for 5 years and then bam
