not only does matt write the music but he is one of the most inventive and non static guitar players of this generation, and frankly, it's refreshing to see someone do something new and good with a guitar, when you get millions of fans and write refreshing music, then let me know, in the meantime, keep surfin youtube in complete obscurity

Jealousy. I think the video is respecting the fact, and the comments are hating the fact that Matt can play this solo 50 times and you'll hear 51 different versions of it. Each individual New Born solo FTW, not one is any better than any of the others! They're all special in their own little ways! Don't think Matt practises them for hours either, like you and I would... he just plays whatever he feels on the day. RESPECT ^_^

The Kroq almost acoustic christmas performance of New Born was pretty awesome too; I'd put it up there with Kroq 2004.
in 2000, matt looks so hot, 2001, he looks like he is humping the guitar, which is good in a way! i like the 2004 earl's court one, it sounds slightly similiar to the 2007 one. this solo will forever be crazy!!! love it!!
