TUZ-166 is one of my favorite scouts in the game. Its light and nimble, add the auto winch and go have fun. Upgrade to mid suspension and 35" tires, one engine upgrade and roof rack. Its no 420 but its very fun to use when your scouting upgrades and towers. Now the DON-71 thats the worst in game lol. I have to of the 166, one for mud one for snow. Names are MudBug and SnowBug respectively lol.
Honestly i tried it stock and loved it. Put mud tires and a small lift and it was better. I will say i found it better when low because it could zip through trees since its short. The power wasn’t great but the torque was amazing. Very stable as well. I roll a lot so stable is better for me.
I'm using the Tuz 166 as my Scout of choice for all pure scouting and exploration: it is a beast. The tiny size means it can squeeze between trees where no other vehicle can. I've even dunked it in a running river over the roof and hauled it out again, with just 6 points damage to the engine. I've run it up 45 degree mountain sides. The engine is so efficient the tank lasts ages, and then you have another 40 liters in the roofrack. With the autonomous winch the only thing that stops it is tipping it over where you have nothing to winch against.

@@ATribeCalledCars a bit late but i found your channel recently and I gotta say, snowrunner is a hard game to make entertaining videos on, and you're one of the few people that can do it
Fully upgraded it's a fun little get around. You can be easily separated when upside down. And can wiggle around in the thick of the trees easily. When you put a spare tire on the back it takes away the trailer hitch FYI
With just raised suspensions and 35 inches mud tires it is really good, With the kr104 I explored the hole quarry map with one fuel tank and as long as you have mud tires, no matter the size of the tires, you’ll almost never get stuck
I would say that Tuz 166 (Gaz 69) is much better in mud on highway tires, then Cevy or Scout 800 with the same setup. Probably because of its light weight and constant AWD and diff. lock. With upgraded engine and tires it is even better. But the difference to stock setup is not that much stunning like with American scouts.

This has to be one of the best videos of the off road capabilities of an up rated TUZ 166. This vehicle is in reality none other than the GAZ-69 in a playful disguise. Ordinarily it couldn’t take a roof rack as it sported a canvas top which made it most suitable for compact off road wedding receptions. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gaz-uaz.jpg The standard GAZ-69 was able to reach 56 mph (90 km/h),[4] but its more powered versions, with 2400 cc (derived from the basic 2100 cc) 65 h.p. engines and the same three-speed gearbox, could reach 100 km/h (62 mph). They were known as the GAZ-69M, or GAZ-69AM for the four-door version.[5] It featured two fuel tanks, one of 47 litres (12 US gal; 10 imp gal) under the floor, one of 28 litres (7 US gal; 6 imp gal) beneath the passenger's seat.[1] All civilian models also had to meet Army requirements, in case of wartime requisitioning. (This is also why a hardtop version was not available until 1993)[6] The basic variant GAZ-69 has a pair of doors and usually has standard canvas top and upper sides; there are two seats in front and two folding benches for three passengers each on sides. The further variant GAZ-69A (UAZ-69A) has four doors, folding canvas top and two rows of seats. My thanks go to A TRIBE CALLED CARS whose contributions to the field of GAZ-69 research have inspired this gratuitous and needlessly voluminous footnote.
The thing I don't like about the Tuz is it's nearly impossible to flip back over with the autonomous winch, it will just slide with the roof seemingly glued to the ground. With most other scouts I feel less likely to get stranded. It does seem to have an advantage in deep mud with the huge mud tires compared to other vehicles

Before that I left it in a ditch about 15 feet from the garage because it had less power than a moped.
Quite a few trucks come alive with good upgrades, makes the game more interesting I think.
