The 12615 / 12616 Grand Trunk Express (commonly called G.T. or G.T. Express) is a daily Superfast Express train on Indian Railways, running between New Delhi and Chennai Central. It is a historic train and is one of the oldest trains starting services in 1929. It originally ran between Peshawar in the North West Frontier Province (present-day capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan) and Mangalore Central in the Madras Presidency (present-day city in Karnataka, India).
From September 2021, it runs with modern new LHB coach with revised coach position.
The train passes through the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi

The Grand old man of Indian Railways- GRAND TRUNK EXPRESS ( G.T.Express). The main difference btn G.T and T.N is that GT has a large no. of scheduled halts but other than that it seldom stops at any unscheduled stations. TN, despite being a non-stop train, halts at an unknown stn mostly bcz it runs before time and to compensate for the time loss or gain.

Wish u the same and will try that train once it's speed upgraded currently it's the slowest train between the 2 cities
Priority of Grand Trunk Express is at the bottom. Importance of this iconic and oldest train has been damaged by the callous and lackadaisical attitude of the Railway (officers) over the last 50 years.
