This is cool, however I think a piece isn’t useless just because you can make it out of other pieces. You can make any brick by stacking 3 plates on top of each other, does that make every brick piece useless.
The pieces in the video aren't used as often, so they made another version of an already uncommon piece. Bricks are very common so it's justifiable, and bricks are older than plates.
@@brickstudiosYTsome of the plates can probably used to strengthen a build in the places where the smaller plates to make the piece might not accomplish that.
@@brickstudiosYT I think it could be used for Steve ability and to keep prices down because already Lego is too expensive so I think they made this piece to keep prices down and to stop parents from complaining and to also allow for a more stable area for builds that all designed to be knocked down but they don’t want the plates to follow with them
Yeah, I know. It's just funny to me because I have never used any of these pieces in my mocs. But you're probably right about that because Lego had to make the piece for something.
The double plate with studs can be used to connect plates together. For example, the Lego minecraft “Pillager Raid” set has 2 of those pieces to allow you to connect the 3 plates in the set together however you want.
Yeah, It probably does have some practical use, but can't a 2x4 tile work for that same thing? If it uses the top of the piece then I guess it wouldn't.
@@brickstudiosYTMinecraft’s set style uses a lot of jumper plates as attachment points for figures or play features so it’s simply more in system for the set to use jumpers instead of a tile.
Most of these pieces, except for the molds holders and the dimensions, game plates, are what I call convenience pieces to save some parts so people can make more things. That's the whole point
As someone who works with bionicle parts quite often, I don't think it's fair that these parts are included. you can still do a lot with these parts. eg. this sword is meant to be combined with the same piece and make a surfoard. but cool video
PLEASE READ - This video is my opinion. Sorry if any of you are mad at me for calling these pieces useless. Lego had to make these pieces for something, so they probably all have some sort of use. The reason I put them in the video is because I have never used them in any of my custom Lego mocs. Thank you :)
sturdiness is their point. just because they are not useful to you doesn't mean they are useless. im all for being critical of lego but this ain't it chief
You know that piece isn’t useless it’s kinda useful but I think the lever piece is the most useless because it doesn’t even do anything it’s just a piece you just flip it down and up again
The angle pieces can be useful for reinforcing corners of a wall as they tie things together better than the same shape built up from multiple pieces. Kind of a specific use case but handy where extra strength is needed, e.g. for a Technic machine where heavy mechanical loads are present. Also, the "parts" that don't connect to anything at 5:37-6:55 are casting trees left over from the injection molding process. They aren't actual Lego pieces any more than the packaging the sets come in.
I agree with everyone below my comment that, aside from the factory necessary stability components with practically no connection points (no studs nor antistuds) all the pieces you showed in this video were useful in some way, especially in large structures.
Those pieces are not useless. Most are very good for stability in your builds. Also some parts like 32059 are quite old and not as usefull as the parts you used to recreate it. You could also recreate every plate or brick with 1x1 plates. I want to see you build a set only using them. Overall: get your facts straight, this video is super bad!
Why not include such iconic examples as Ball, Hard Plastic 52mm, or Slope 10 6 x 8 with Shingled Roof Pattern. The latter half of these being used only once, and the former being an actual ball of plastic
Well, for bionicle it’s more about constructing a shape using those theme based pieces, tbh it’s superior and the fandom is better sooooooooo that’s that
Great video! A bit of constructive criticism, I found the Lego building sounds to be very grating on my ears despite the production value of the rest of the video being really good. Happy building!
There is a piece that is literally an orange & yellow swirled pattern circle with a hole in the middle. I have two of them and have no idea what set they go to. I cannot find it in the catalog despite the piece itself saying "lego" on the bottom It has no studs or connections/ is smooth on both sides with the exception of it the lego logo.
That's an interesting one because it obviously has a use, but technically it can't be connected to any Lego pieces. There are Lego pieces meant to hold them though, so I think they aren't useless
This is cool, however I think a piece isn’t useless just because you can make it out of other pieces. You can make any brick by stacking 3 plates on top of each other, does that make every brick piece useless.
Yeah you're right, just some of those pieces just seem like they wouldn't be that useful so I put them in the video.

Oh
Most of the pieces that can be made with other pieces are just there to give more stability to models that they come in.
Yeah, I know. It's just funny to me because I have never used any of these pieces in my mocs. But you're probably right about that because Lego had to make the piece for something.
yeah but you could also make the same argument about 2x4s.
The one used for the gears is used in one of the lego minecraft sets as a handle. And the 2x2x3 is also used in the same set for the nether portal.

Calling bionicle useless makes sense for typical Lego but with the actual pieces they were meant to be used with they are incredibly useful
Most of these pieces, except for the molds holders and the dimensions, game plates, are what I call convenience pieces to save some parts so people can make more things. That's the whole point
I think fused pieces save time a bit
It also makes things simpler
Yeah, they have some very specific uses
Huh
The 2x4 jumper plate is actually really useful for me to stick my mech suits to their base plates since they have tiles for feet
As someone who works with bionicle parts quite often, I don't think it's fair that these parts are included. you can still do a lot with these parts. eg. this sword is meant to be combined with the same piece and make a surfoard. but cool video
Yeah, I'm not the biggest Bionicle fan, so they aren't that useful for me. They are probably really useful for Bionicle fans like you!
I swear almost every one of these pieces I have used I MOCs because I couldn't substitute it.
By this guy's logic, a 2x4 brick is usless because 1x1 bricks exist and 8 of them makes one 2x4 brick.
fr bro
It improves the opportunity for structural integrity in builds that require those shapes . Not useless.

4:13 this piece I've seen used in Lego semi truck sets. It works great to attach the trailer to the truck like a fifth wheel does.
@@schefflergaming5748 yeah that is actually a pretty good use for it!
The issue is youre thinking of them as center peaces when a lot of the first few are more stabilizing and conecters
7:06 bro developed cerebral palsy in the blink of an eye
Yeah, I gotta keep in frame 😂

Thanks for making this
The one that goes down into a point is useful for the 1966 Batmobile build where you have to add a sticker onto the front
Oh yeah that's actually is a good use for it so then you don't have to put a sticker over 2 pieces! Thanks for letting me know!
Your welcome
I agree with everyone below my comment that, aside from the factory necessary stability components with practically no connection points (no studs nor antistuds) all the pieces you showed in this video were useful in some way, especially in large structures.
Loved the video the second one was my favorite one
Bionicle parts are useful, just not always in system parts.
0:14 Seriously?! 🤦
I'm not sure the little mold prop piece things really count as pieces so much as waste.
Good interesting video
The Lego wand piece holder can actually be used the mail box piece if you take off the door and stick the circle part it connects
"this peice is useless"
"i prefer this peice" (as in the "useless" one)
6:57 you dare slander the holy name of bionicle!!! Shame on you.
Yeah to me they're pretty useless but for die hard fans like you they are probably really useful
@@brickstudiosYT tbh there not to useful outside of bionicle things
@@brickstudiosYT I guess you prefer Hasbro buy Lego you know that toy line save the company
Good video ( i know about one useless piece same useless than the last ones it's the piece that helps molding coins)
You're missing out if you don't have Lego dimensions, it's cheap rn too
Just you wait when you need to bridge something with that arrangement of parts but Dont use them Bc they're "Useless"
him: useless
me connecting plates for my minecraft moc that else would look wierd: yeah sure
I think the plates are usefull for making certain structures hold up, like conecting pieces together
Yeah, but would you really need this piece to do that? You could use a 2x4 tile or plate to hold the same pieces together.
@@brickstudiosYT I guess it being just one piece gives more stability
@@volksanti4457 Yeah there's probably a use for it somewhere
@@brickstudiosYTI got the L shaped plate in an x-wing set and find them very useful for adding wings to starships for some strength
I like the long 2x2s :) would make house building quicker + take less bricks!

That chicken cannot be a real lego print
Did you know that most of those pieces are meant to make build stronger?
Awesome video! Made me laugh at some of the pieces.
Why not include such iconic examples as Ball, Hard Plastic 52mm, or Slope 10 6 x 8 with Shingled Roof Pattern. The latter half of these being used only once, and the former being an actual ball of plastic
Try attaching the spruces to bottom of a lever peice
Well, for bionicle it’s more about constructing a shape using those theme based pieces, tbh it’s superior and the fandom is better sooooooooo that’s that
teh zigzag one is actaly extreemly usefull
1:36 speed nugget
For the 32 by twos that are stacked it just to lower the piece count
I use a lot of these all the time I don't understand why you think they are useless...
still love your videos though
0:02 they made that so it can hang of edges\
2:01 same for this one
Bruh not really if you're into lego Minecraft mocs it's definitely important of if you only wanna fill in those snot techniques
They do reduce the prices a little bit tho.
True, I didn't think about that one
As a Lego collector now I really really wish I didn’t sell my Lego dimensions game I am sad thinking about it rn
I use the plates for making moc build star ships
don't talk crap about Bionicle
Bionicle is amazing it has a lot of useful pieces
So using your logic almost every piece other than a 1x1 is useless
5:00 this piece could be used to make xbox if round 1x1 plate was attached to the upper corner
That's actually a really good idea! I'm gonna go try that right now...
That does attach a certain thing in the middle That’s attached to a stud
0:18 it is useful 😢
Is that legal! 2:51
I wouldn’t say any of these pieces are useless
Great video! A bit of constructive criticism, I found the Lego building sounds to be very grating on my ears despite the production value of the rest of the video being really good. Happy building!
You might just be the only one.
The sound if Lego gives half the satisfaction.

you cant etach the wand piece to a 4x4 plate and it looks like a table
You could probably attach a wand to make a table, but the piece that holds the wands wouldn't work
0:17 ok so 2 x 4 is useless bc you can use 2 different 2 x 2 s
Why do wr have a 4x2? We can just put 2 2x2 together
Leegu deemensons”
If I was a Lego piece
so cool baord
the 22 brick is Can be as a home
What about the lego soccer ball
That's an interesting one because it obviously has a use, but technically it can't be connected to any Lego pieces. There are Lego pieces meant to hold them though, so I think they aren't useless
Alot of theses are kinda use ful
That's not a dagger it's a shortsword
what about lego rope
Hey how dare you bionicle is great
How dare you call bionicle useless! You’re useless!
The first piece isn't useless
Asnark you are VERY correct :)
I'm still disliking.
What would it take to aquire your dimensions pieces
