Just built my own version of the transition ledge. I made it 18in high and my base 24in wide on 6in transition. Keep in mind I had a good 6 years experience with carpentry and construction. I watched multiple videos to come up with my plans so to speak... now I see why they charge so much lol. I had to go back to lowes a few times probably got an easy $500 ish in mine. Thank you bros for teaching me lol. I skated until 16 and went to drugs and partying now I'm 3 years sober and back skating and teaching kids. Wish I never dropped it. I'm back for good this time. Been back riding a year now keep pushing sk8 fam
I know I'm late.. What if you did this, but made the spacing like people's favourite brick/tile to ride? I always hear people say they like riding certain size tile! 🤔
Maybe turn these into mini long pyramids or even just add end banks, it, could be fun. It would also give more riding up and off surface , just a friendly idea
im trying to build one that looks just like this one in my head but its not looking like i planned. im going to get a few bags of concrete and do it that way. its just easier than keeping things square and keeping cuts straight, countersinking etc... my saws are beat and bent up im just not equipped to build things out of wood. i have a bunch of old chain link fence a bunch of pavers and blocks and scrap 2x6s for forms. its probably not going to be that great because its my first one. if it doesnt have to move its the way to go
I feel like the try hard mentality of skating really turns a lot of people off, that's what kept me from skating because I didn't want to put my entire life's effort into being a sweaty when it wasn't even fun, we love chill ramps 👍
@@lamBETTERthanY0U That's what I'm saying. why would you want that? you cant even feel it or hear it like you can with a rail, so it's for aesthetics. that's what i meant by that.
Love the concept of ramp to picnic table. It worked out so well.
“It’s such a chiller skate obstacle” then the best possible clip.

U must have been high the whole time u were doing carpentry
@@lamBETTERthanY0U3 years of it and just because someone isn’t doing good doesn’t mean that they can be a carpenter
just for today
i was an Ironworker for 28 years and it was a requirement or you couldnt work with my crew lol some of the crews i worked with stayed messed up
Should have used diamond cut coping too! haha
Imagine a full sized half pipe with diamond cut sheets! that would be sick!
A little more of some Rocco footy wouldn't hurt. Looks like a cool doggy.
Damond is going to love it.
Yeah but diemon might get jealous
Rocco making sure you're ok
These videos are Diamond a dozen!
I’d say go wider not deeper. Closer to brick grout to get the proper feel.

I totally dig the graffiti job on the stair set in the background
Oh so it’s like brick. Try a brick pattern? That’d be cool
HEEL BRUISE FOR THE WIN!!!

Excellent video!
You should make it a brick pattern so it’s like skating a brick bank.

Thats cool! I just wonder if over time dry rot will happen because of the exposed wood(especially in cali)
Make the cuts wider, not deeper.
Instead of deeper you could probably make the grooves wider and feel them more.

That’s the shortest T-shirt with longest sleeves I’ve ever seen.
diamond ramp im a 10000% in.
Take my money
Now I want to see brick texture pattern
Looking to build my own, is that a 6ft transition?
Make the diamond cuts waaaayy smaller
Instead of diamond, make brick riding surface
I sent you guys the brick idea. This is exactly what I meant.
Except grooves should probably be double the width.
I trick my brain into thinking front blunt is the same as bs tailslide on the other side of the ledge. It works for me 🤷♂️
@keenramps there is a spelling error in the title. it says damond and not diamond.
that's not a spelling error...damond is the official keen ramps trademark name of this pattern
60% of the time it works every time

But… in the time it took to snip those out, couldn’t you have googled the feature?
this is just for 'aesthetics', I'm guessing?
Texture when riding, kinda like diamond cut
grind rails
@@sageprophet937 sooo, aesthetics? why would you want the actual _riding_ surface to be bumpy?
