    Hey, thanks for the vid. Did you just lay the hearth directly onto your floating floorboards? Or did you put some sort of protection membrane down before? Thanks

      Went right over it. Two winters into it and absolutely zero issues. My initial plan was to cut around it and have the floor free for movement but no issues.

      What concrete did you use?

      @@andynichols213 I used regular Quikrete. They also make Quikrete for counter tops, I think it has more Portland Cement in it or something, but I couldn’t find that kind in my town.

      @@andynichols213 has some kind of aggregate in it. Just look it up on their website. I’m sure it’ll say what each kind of cement consists of.
