Very nice! The way you use the chiptune sounds is great. I don't know if you were going for NES sound specifically or just general chiptune, but the way to make it even more NES-like would be to always stick to the limited amount of channels (2 squares, 1 triangle, 1 noise, 1 PCM)
@@KooriGraywolf Thank you! I appreciate the compliment. It really means a lot to me. For my chiptune covers, I exclusively use sounds that the NES can produce. However, I give myself freedom to go beyond sound channel and monophonic limitations that consoles had to capture every essence of the original composer’s work and keep it true to the original. For my NES songs (or if specifically requested), I’ll keep my compositions within the NES’s confinements. If you want to hear what I’ve done within the NES’s limitations, though, I totally recommend you check out some of my original Mega Man songs like Jungle Man or Blaze Man. They go Hard, Man.
A few months ago I queued into this dungeon and suddenly remembered just how good the music was. And this is really cool. I always love the snappiness and crispness of 8-bit and 16-bit sounds.
Thank you! I’m not sure, but I’m glad the algorithm brought you here eventually. My channel’s been overshadowed for a long time, and I want to change that.
@@EzeDuzzIt_Official You may have gotten a boost by people looking at FFXIV videos due to Dawntrail. That's just speculation though. If you want to get favor in the algorithm, the best thing you can do is maintain consistent uploads. RUclipsr Muh Dry Bread discussed how important this was a few years ago. It can be once a week, once a month, or once a day, but it wants you to be consistent. More frequent uploaders get more favor. Also having the content of your videos be consistent seems to help as well. When I was making videos consistently on one thing, I was getting more favor than when I just posted whatever I felt like. Convincing people to comment on and like videos also boosts you. You don't have to be obnoxious about it, but sometimes an intro/outro that gently asks can help. Hope this helps. There's no transparency on how any of this works so people have just gone based on trial and error, and word of mouth.
It is a travesty that this has flown so far under the radar, when this one cover is better than much of the other chiptune covers of FFXIV songs that people go on about.
A lovely rendition of a very nice song. Thanks for making this cover of FFXIV: Shadowbringers - Unwound! Gotta get that recognition out there, haha~ C'mon, RUclips, I know you're listening...😉
dear god this is so good. im new to ffxiv but this really is so nice.. i hated this place but went back and listened to the theme and wow. thanks for making this.
Wow! Thanks for the love, and welcome to FFXIV! You’re pretty far along since you made it here. This song completely took me by surprise when I first heard it. I’ve totally revisited this dungeon just for the music.
So sorry for the late reply, man! My main DAW is FL Studio, and there's a VST called Magical 8Bit Plug that's my go-to for chiptune. Depending on the sound that I'm going for, I'll also use Super Audio Cart from Impact Soundworks. If I'm making a tune that's 100% authentic and compatible for the Nintendo Entertainment System or Famicom, I'll outline everything in FL Studio, then bounce between FamiTracker and FamiStudio. Thank you for asking!
Thank you - I appreciate it! I used FL Studio with a plugin called Magical 8Bit Plug. They released a Magical 8Bit Plug 2 since then, and it added more functionality and controls. If FL Studio is my canvas, Magical 8Bit Plug 2 is one of my many brushes.
@@EzeDuzzIt_Official Thanks! I stumbled upon other songs you’ve made and you’re doing fantastic work. I’m amazed at the attention for all the little details in the songs. It’s what makes the music stand out.

How am I just NOW getting recommended this? this is stunning, fantastic work

Barely any views for such a quality remix... Unfortunate.
Thank you. I’ll be readjusting the tags in the near future. On that note, more original songs and covers are on the ways.

Haha!! Thank you! 😅After 12 years, it’s starting to pick up some traction. If one person’s listening and enjoying it, I’m satisfied.
If I had to make one request, it would be Xelphatol, the music from the dungeon. Such a great track.
Definitely taking it into consideration. 😉
This is incredible! One of my favourite tunes in the entire game and aesthetically my favourite dungeon/zone.
Thank you! More Final Fantasy XIV 8-bit remixes in the making that I hope you’ll enjoy just as much.
