I reaching the big 50, started riding again in my early 40's. At first it was hard all these muscles not being used in that way for a good while. but once the soreness subsided, all the tricks started to come back. Bikes have changed a lot now. Longer , taller, and shorter rear triangle, makes vast differences in the way the bike handles. I rediscovered Riding is my Zen moment, it lets me spool down from the day and clear my mind.

Grew up riding Bmx bikes back in the 80s. Was out of it for 30 years!! Decided I wanted a bike for my 46th birthday in December of 2020. The wife bought me a Sunday Soundwave complete. Fell in love with the bike and with Bmx again. Fast forward to this past December and the wife asked me again what I wanted for my now 47th birthday . I said "what else!? Another Bmx bike". This time I went with We The People Battleship complete. Amazing bike for sure and now I've found my fountain of youth.

Just what I needed to see. I recently got back into it at 49 after being away for 25 years. The key I find is staying within your comfort zone and going slowly. I got my table tops back as well as other tricks I had back in the 90s and 80s when I started. Never too old to rip. NEVER.

After some 15 years I decided to go back, I'm 40 now and injuries are a huge demotivator, you forgot to talk about protective gear, helmets, knee pads, chin pads, shoulder pads and even chest pads are almost a must when you're learning back all those skills. It doesn't matter if they make you look like a goof ball, you'll be the old guy in the park anyway. Safety first.

Im 28 and just got a Gap XL a few months back, I was looking at bigger bike like 24s or 26s and had found and wanted a dynacraft krusher fat tire just get to an from work during the good days of Oklahoma (sadly I made a mistake of ordering from Amazon). During this period of waiting forever an day for my fat tire bike to show up Nostalgia hit an was looking at 20" bikes an then was told my fat tire bike had been damaged during shipping 😢 i bummed out so I started to do some looking around for a 20" bike not knowing what i was looking for just something to ride as I missed the rush an freedoms an Therapeutic of hoping on a bike an riding i ended up with going to the only bike shop here in town an walked out with the most sexiest green bike i have ever seen an hadn't really ridden it til Tuesday and it was fun to finally get out and ride (plan was to go to the skatepark but that didn't happen) but man am i sore lol this Kink Gap XL is my first ever bmx bike that wasn't a Walmart bike and have put in alot of time an money to get parts (got some parts from Albes coming tomorrow 😁)
At 28 im a tad over weight vs what I actually weighed in HS an After (165-180) and out of shape now i feel older than my actual age i guess its from the abuse that happened from doing things that was doing but i wanted to get a bike an start riding again to get back into shape an go to work with(can't ride 7mils to work on a 21 hell no lol)as I work at an AFB an am allowed to use the gym there but i want to get there before my shift so now im looking to get a custom 26" Laird Frame an buy the needed parts an build it up
I'll say this it's been a fun time learning how to maintenance my current setup an putting on aftermarket parts on it
