I think judges wanted to give the gold medal to kramarenko. I also like kramarenko, althought i think was not just that kramarenko got a better score than A. Averina in this competition

I thought that was just part of her routine?
Rewatching it in slow motion, it might (or not) have been intentional, to gather the ribbon for the final throw, but it didn't look exceedingly fluid.
