- Hiya! Here is the PV or MV of Igyouhime / Igyou Hime / 異形姫 by VELVET EDEN, in HD 1080p. This is from the SAD MASK DVD rereleased in 2012 (originally on VHS in 2000).
VELVET EDEN is a really unique darkwave band, I personally don't enjoy the songs that much usually, but when I'm in a dark mood, it is perfect for me. The music of VELVET EDEN is more heavy emotion then actual melody, so it will only speak to most people if they're in the mood for dark emotion. I also love how abrupt this song ends haha.
UPDATE 2021.09.12: This description sucks, and I don't agree with it at all anymore. VELVET EDEN is one of my top listened artists of all time, and I enjoy almost every song. It's very refined music, and full of beautiful melodies. KALM's songwriting prefers individual melodies over more vertical chords, creating a kind of unique darkwave polyphony, it's really impressive.
I enjoy VE in all moods now.

In the description it's written how I don't enjoy VE that much, but years later, I don't agree with it at all anymore. VELVET EDEN is one of my top listened artists of all time, and I enjoy almost every song. It's very refined music, and full of beautiful melodies. KALM's songwriting prefers individual melodies over more vertical chords, creating a kind of unique darkwave polyphony, it's really impressive. So I'm happy I decided to give them another shot!!

i instantly fell in love but im sure that if I have listened to them in the days I started listening to Vkey I wouldn't so I understand what it feels like to develop a taste for great music. Vkey is the best style I've ever explored and its magical because I've never enjoyed anything like it before.

Velvet Eden is probably the most underrated dark wave band ever.

Their music speaks to me at all times, I guess I must be perpetually depressed or something lol. Nothing more refreshing than having something like Sad Mask play after some happy pop song in my opinion.

Mmm, I see. This is a dark song indeed, and KALM's signature synthy and sludgy production makes it hard to enjoy happily... A lot of their songs are like that. I think that's the beauty of the band, but some songs like Toxic Queen and Velvet Eden are legit bangers, though. I groove a bit when they come on 😊

Have you ever seen corsets…? That's what a corset does when it's laced tightly. Also known as Wasp waist, it used to be popular for women to wear in the 19th/early 20th century. Dada's lacing isn't even that extreme, there were (and are) people with much tighter lacing and tinier waists.

Cantavanda I thought it was because of the vocalist, he looks like a white girl to me I don’t I just got that vibe from the thumbnail but now I know them somewhat, I gotta get more into Velvet Eden’s music more, their music is so gothic I just love the style, after hearing Malice Mizer and Moi Dix Mois and knowing a lot about them and coming to love them more than any other band I’m gonna get into Velvet Eden now.
