I LOVE the 465!!! I rode my friend's 81 back when i was 16 and have wanted one ever since. Life, children and responsibilities put it in the "someday....MAYBE" category. Christmas of 2023, my 8 kids that have heard me talk and dream about this bike their entire growing up lives....pulled their money together and bought me one for christmas!! I waited a LOOOOONG time to get one and tear up just about every time i ride it....thanks kids🤘
Thanks for the great video and the interview was hilarious. I loved this bike but it almost killed me !! Broken hand , torn knee ACL. , many getoff , etc. I loved that distinctive bark from the motor. Take care and keep up the good work , from the States. :) :)
wow when i was young in ohio and bought one , i went to look at it and a man and his son opened the garage door, he had two casts on, the kid was begging his dad not tell sell it but i had to have it i totaled it the first ride when i got it home on one jump , i only laid it down a few times after that dangers ride
its a hill climb bike ,about three fourths up the hill ,drop a gear lean way up on the bars get back in the throttle and get launched the rest of the way up the hill
in the dirt or gravel i could speed shift all gears the wheel would spin through all gears ,you cant give it any throttle in a yard it just leaves trenches
Had both years of the 65 and an IT (International Trials) then bought the one year only 5 speed YZ 490. Looking back- there was something not quantifiable that made the 465 YZ my favorite. I just bought one of my old 465's back the "H" model. Still has the desert tank and White Bros suspension. been sitting for 30 + Years this should be Interesting.

Used to pull apart yz 490s use it465 head jug transmission. 465 way better than 490
Definitely
