As a Zelda fan: My mind is blown. As a film maker: My mind is still blown. Though the acting and special effects are amateur, the sheer effort put into this film is astounding. The set design is excellent and so are the action scenes. Even with the less-than-average production values I still cared about the story. Hollywood may have better actors and bigger budgets, but this low budget film was made with heart, and for that reason I can appreciate this more than a Hollywood production.
Fool, it was made with the cast-off seminal fluid of ruinous men. As an LoZ fan myself, I almost immediately hated this film. On a low budget this should have still been better than what it was. You want to know who sponsored this? IGN. They should have at least had enough to work the story in a better way, not make a scream-rendering amateur work like this. The acting is sub-par, the special affects are sub-par, and the god damn fulfillment to the story is, wait for it, regrettably not as far as they should have taken it. I feel like I'm watching something worse than an M. Night Shyamalan reproduction. I just, really, really hate the world right now for letting this get past production.

That's not the original, the original game is actually The Tower of Druaga which was an arcade game that later appeared of Famicom (the Japanese NES). However the first game with the name was The Legend of Zelda on the NES. There were many Zelda games before the N64 came along...
@old school new school, he meant as in the original OoT game from the N64. He wasn’t saying ORIGINAL original, like nes Zelda. He was saying he has the original incarnation of OoT.

They got more than just the details wrong. Having the Triforce split before the Master Sword got pulled is lore and story wise a grave mistake.
I checked the Wiki.
After the Golden Goddesses (Nayru, Din, and Farore) did what they had to do to make the world, they each made their piece of the Triforce and entrusted the entirety of it to Hylia.
So they made the Triforce after making the world.
It's meant to be loosely based on OOT that how they got as far as they did before it got shut down.
Best... movie... EVER!!!!!!!!!!! You've inspired me to start cosplaying now. This was amazing! When I finished this, I sent it to my friends. Can you make a movie based on Wind Waker or Spirit Tracks?
+Lillian Persson i can't friend sry im just a student
He wrote in description: I do not own the movie or something like that
@@kubix426 i think the original one was taken down.
@@BOCprod what does you being a student have to do with stealing videos?
I used to watch this so much when it came out. I still can't help liking it. DJIlNeige criticised the actor of Ganondorf in his review but I think he is actually the best actor in the whole thing.
This movie is actually really appealing in a campy "Power Rangers" type way.
lol this reminds me of dawsons creek first amateur movie
1:17:07 Cooper Andrews, Now You know him by his roll as Jerry in The Walking Dead series
He is also the foster parent of SHAZAM!
Is that him?
Whuut! No way!
No kidding?
Omg woww
It's dangerous to go alone...
Take this
🗡️🏹🛡️🔨🔑
This actually could have been good if it had a real budget.
Even so, this movie would’ve been better, movies with better budgets have too much of an ego
if you add a cast of seriously invested actors with actual training in acting and a script true to the original game, also sound engineers who aren't deaf yes maybe... i mean i respect the effort but imo this was a waste of time :(
Who the fuck cares? At least it was halfway like the game lol. We get an idea where this movie originated from.
@@ryunalunaris14 you fuckers complain about every fucking thing. It's easier said then done. Just because it sounds good doesn't mean it's easy to do. Unless yall have filming experience, yall shouldn't be talking. These people are making way more money then you. It's a reason your poor cause your shitting on ones that's sucessful.
@@josephpayne2253 People are allowed to criticize media dumbass, it’s called having an opinion. Stop being an asshole cause I seriously doubt that your an actor, scriptwriter, or filmmaker yourself.

I absolutely love Princess Zelda in this! I wish she had an actual design like the first one shown in this short film. It would be cool to see in a future game!
This was a great film ngl, I remeber being like 7 and thinking this shi was 10/10 flawless, but don’t get me wrong this is rlly good and enjoyable
To this day this is still an amazing recreation of the story of Ocarina of Time. I'm a SAG-AFTRA Actor of 12 years and counting, and these actors here did a great job and they should feel proud of what they accomplished here. The girl who portrayed Din was perfect in her role, unpredictable, yet beautiful in a striking and yet dangerous sort of way. I had every reason to crush over her, she is genuinely beautiful
When was this made.
EDIT: Nevermind. Found it on IMDB.
2009.
And the actual full title is "The Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time"
I know that this is a 3 year old comment, but for the sake of people reading the comments I would like to point out that this movie was shot in 2005 and then released in 2009. It took 4 years to make.
@@Finfection This movie started planning in 2001. 2 years pre-production, 4 years of production, 2 years post production. I went to a HOT spot premiere and that's exactly how it was explained to us before they put the movie on.
@@KTSpeedruns That's cool to hear that information. I was going off of how long it was being promoted online. I feel like the movie took all of my teen years to come out. Lol.
I HAVE LOOKED FOREVER TO FIND THIS
Probably had spelling problems
It’s like a 1994 movie but really good
I used to watch this as a kid on this chanel ...nostalgia
for anyone confused on some of the characters and names and some stuff missing its because this isnt based on the game its based on the manga
I knew I saw some anime type influence this explains so much and I read the manga, the part after he leaves the forest and gets the bow from the merchant is straight from the manga I think

This was a first successful fan film from my respective. Even if it really was a low budgeted, making this movie🙂
I’m still a Zelda fan. I still have the original n64 game and I own Breath of the wild🙂
It’s not easy making fan films in these times of years😑
So, I’m giving this a thumbs up 👍🏻
That's not the original, the original game is actually The Tower of Druaga which was an arcade game that later appeared of Famicom (the Japanese NES).
First 20 minutes was so sentimental I cried so hard 😭😭😭😭
I’ve also noticed that no Kokiri have fairies
turn on captions, i forgot mine were on and its a fun time
Chicken arre called cuccos not chickens. No ganon minions
Folks, also, don't forget about Josh Dixon's Zelda Sage of Darkness. This film and Sage of Darkness stand as the two best Zelda screen adaptations IMO
I almost forgot about Sage of Darkness, that was a good one too.
Anybody remember the parody Legend of Link? That was good one too. Haha.
I love this movie. I saw it 5 times!
I seen it t 8 times lol
Ha i watched it bout 50 times no cap
I watched 1000 times
This reminds me of the zelda show in the 80s
There was never a zelda show especially around that time so your joke is lame asf
My final thoughts on this movie I think it’s great for a fan made movie and since Nintendo isn’t doing crap to make one theme selves I’ll take this and be satisfied with it thanks to everyone who worked on this project your awesome👏👏👏
Love how Link doesn't care if he dies here as long as his enemy dies too, just like Trevor from the Netflix series of Castlevania
Saria Has Green Hair
I think this is supposed to be more grounded in reality. People don't have green hair lol
Watched this would a couple of friends, was fuckings hilarious. Loved it for its goofiness, and apreciated the things it accomplished with such a tight budget
What I would give to see him in a champions tunic and do another of these.
I'm back after 6 years to watch the badass fight scene at the end! So good! Loved the whole movie. Great work.
This is like the Zelda version of that one super mario bros movie
Im surprised this is even still out here all these years later. Ain't much changed since I watched it back in 14
The best meme of the early 2k
I still love this movie
This Is well Put Together Don't Get me wrong its just it doesn't give off that respect for the legend
also link is a spoiled brat in this movie, i hate him
25:25 best scene. Lovely actor.
I’m so glad I finally found this again. I thought this was just something my flu ridden 7 year old mind had thought up. At least it’s real.
Honestly I've seen the trailer 15 years ago, I remember how hyped I was, specially because I found Ganondorf great, he was as I imagine him. Just found the whole movie now, years later and thank you for that, so glad to understand English as an adult haha! And definitely, it's far from perfect, they rush the story, miss a lot of details but it's a fan film and they did pretty good. And still, damn, Ganondorf is a 10/10 for me. Amazing!
Interesting, I just entered by chance and realised I already watched it.
