The Red Rose is the greatest pizza I've ever had, by far - and I grew up in the north Jersey-NYC-Brooklyn area where there are loads of great Italian restaurants and pizzerias. I absolutely love the Red Rose. I went to Springfield College and ate there as often as I could. A few years ago I was passing through Springfield at it was lunch time, so I stopped in with my wife and kids. It was even better than I remembered it being back when I was in school. My boys and I stuffed ourselves to the max and the bill was ridiculously low. Great food, very big portions, great price, nice atmosphere. The Red Rose is a treasure.

I knew the Caputo family many years ago in Agawam and had the pleasure of eating at their house with the parents cooking! Great Restaurant and Great people!
I moved across the country 5 years ago but I make sure to visit this restaurant everytime in go back to visit. Love the pizza and calamari.. the house marinara is excellent..

I never eaten here but there's nothing better than this type of place. I have my fav italian spot the been around since 1950s before my mom was born .ive eaten Italian food everywhere even in Italy nothing beats my fav.
I love Red Rose! It is a tradition of the AIC Theater Arts program for our professor to bring work-study(student employees) new students and graduating students at the end of every semester to Red Rose for dinner
Yes I lived in Springfield for 27years and went there all time good pizza and in general food. I love there fried chicken.I don't live to far so I still go there to eat.
Went here on vacation and ordered the buffalo chicken grinder and lemme tell you sum that thing was delicious as heck I ordered it again later that night

I gotta day, i heard so much about this place for ever. I live in Springfield, so i went one day and got a pizza. It was mediocre at best and honestly id call it sub par. There are literally 20 better pizzas in Springfield. The cheese was cheap and polio string like, and the rest was just so so but the cheap cheese was a complete deal breaker for me.
This is obviously an ad i wonder if the quality has gone down as the decades pass; is flour really from wheat anymore cheese! petroleum? that goes for any pizza place. I live near Boston. Is this rest still in business??

Apparently the mgm casino which recently was built next door to that spot bought up all the surrounding building's but red rose refused to sell and they were offered huge money by MGM. I guess they make so much money that its not worth selling for even a huge price tag. Weird though i heard so much about them for years and like i said i went one time and i dont think i even ate the leftover cold pizza and i love cold pizza or pizza of any temp lol. The best spot in western mass that ive had was pizza paradisio in Northampton. Phenomenal thin crust NY style with real mozzarella and brick oven. Shame its no longer in business because they were amazing.

I went here in 2014. I am from San Diego, and my boyfriend at the time is a Springfield native. The pizzas were so huge. Beautiful place 🌺❤️
