Dad: Hand me the 12 mm
Me: *gives him Magic Socket*
Dad: oh ok
Also Dad: backhand slap
Disowned
How to get placed in the foster care system in one simple step
@@pws3rd170 especially once he finds out you lost the 12mm and replaced it with this 😂😂
Thanks so much for your honest review. I’m definitely gonna put one of these in my dad’s stocking this year 🙌🏻
Speaking of Christmas this guy should get new impact driver work he just keeps clicking the trigger and not actually drilling
Thanks for the review! I was watching videos on RUclips and saw an add for the $50 SuperSocket on sale for the holidays at $25. $7.50 for the same tool sounds MUCH better especially now that I have seen how well this one works!
Same!
I just got one of these, tried it on an axle bolt as well, only with a 3/4 socket
handle, then another bolt , worked fine for what this tool is really designed
for. This review is much fairer on this tool than the last one I watched, this
tool will probably do wonders for me when I can't take a full compliment of
tools with me on my motorcycle.
If you ever install hooks you can take a closed hook and put it in a drill and use it as a tool to spin the installing hook we do it at work all the time
Ha! YeP! 👍..Or Any hook will work 🪝 I thought of this same hack last winter when having to screw in about 30 hooks around my patio
Wow! Amazon has always target marketed these to me. I'm surprised they performed as well as they did. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching!
I know what you mean about working outside. Man it's so hot in Arkansas I thought I heard the Devil shout at me in the backyard yesterday. haha
😂😂 i am sick of the heat! 🥵🥵🥵
You said that there isn’t a tool that you know of to put hooks into wood. Here’s a cool trick that I saw: take a key and but the key part in a drill/impact. Then put the hook through the hole in the key, then put the hook in the desired place and drill.
Never heard of that! Thanks 4 sharing!
LastingBuild no problem, I learned about it a couple days ago, kinda amazed me
Nice looking shop. I also did a video on this tool,
Thanks, Cody! I must have missed your video but I’ll check it out!
I found your video! I was surprised by your title then realized your test enlightened you as it did me! Crazy little cheap tool! 😂
Everything raises in price after he reviews it :(
The problem I see is that it tents to be lopsided when screwing that you made no comment about, I assume you only used short stop and start burst to screw them in due to the lopsided spin. It appears you even tried to center them all on but could see the off center spin on each item. For a project with a lot of the same size items it will probably be better to use the correct size socket so there is not a lopsided spinning involved.
they raised the price
Bummer!
This thing is pretty good. Won't replace your regular sockets but perfect when you gotta go outside and do something real quick don't know what size you need. And don't feel like taking out the whole tool kit
there is a bit called a wing nut driver that looks like a Y for driving in eyelets and hooks works great
So?
Probably the better of the “first look” videos on these universal sockets. Use it how it’s meant to be instead of trying to destroy it. Also with these sockets, you can’t apply heavy pressure or else the springs get all messed up, that’s why pilot holes helped a ton... which you need them anyways to prevent split boards.
But will it magically disappear into the 8-10mm dimension or will it not?, if the size & weight of it alone is enough to stop it falling into the black abyss it might be worth a buy.
Love the tool but I hate the wobble that it gives off but for small projects I could see it being used by myself even with wobble.
"...you'll know where it came from..." Classic.
Is there any benefit to buying one that’s more expensive? They’re on Amazon anywhere from 7 to 21 dollars.
Nah, get a good quality one not off Amazon
@@samcrew1443
Wouldn't the name branded one be the "best"?? Because super socket is what he tested and they are the name brand.
As soon as I saw this works with those eye bolts and hooks I knew I have another purchase to make. Those "annoying" hooks have defied each and every tool in my shop and now they'll meet their match. Thanks for the review.
Just chuck up a hook bolt with fine thread in your drill. Problem solved...
Just picked up one of these myself, mine is a bit different though, manufactured by halt and mine is a 90 pin.. I've been hearing a lot of negative reviews about these things... Got me worried...
Thanks for the info and great video !!!!👍
Thanks for the demo - I thought I got a faulty unit (go figure) as the plastic bit in the center seems to be stuck which is preventing it from being placed over anything. Dang it! So seeing it in properly functioning and in action here is useful and encouraging.
Great! I just got one as a gift!!!! Thanks for the video 👍
Looks like a great stocking stuffer. - will
I agree
Cool little demo Jim. May or may not jump on it but definitely enlightening
Harleymike/chicago
Thanks!
5:09 Do I see metal flakes falling out of the thing? Worrysome...
Looks like the price has doubled since last year. Are you still liking it after a year of use?
Cool ! Amen on cooling off!
These the same company as the Gator Grip you can buy in the big orange box store aren’t they?
I’m not sure! Maybe someone else will know. I don’t go there often as too far to drive.
Thank you for sharing!!!!!
Your welcome!
I've been seeing these for ages. Always thought they must be absolute rubbish. Thank you :)
👍
👍
Time to get the impact driverc out.
Didn’t work for me. Bolt has a shallow but decent head with a star washer. Truck bumper bolt. 9/16 and 14mm won’t do. Onto the next.
How does this work for removing stripped bolts?
I’m betting it’s a great tool for wood workers and not car mechanics who actually got to remove and torque down bolts!
My daughter has the exact same old rusty bicycle that was her first bike that was aittingvoutside for over a year.
The socket isn't bad for light duty but isn't worth it for something important
I think it’s more for the rusty or weird random sizes! Really cool invention for sure!
I paid 50 for mine. 45 for the tool and 5 for shipping and handling
😳 US dollars?
It's UP to $14.99 now. You got taken.
Cool !
👍
Glad you tried it. I was scared to. Take care Jim
Awesome. Buying 4 for Christmas gifts BUT they are charging $19.99 with a $5 off coupon. Just FYI
That’s crazy!
I have one and I like it.
Good to hear!
Does it work on One Way Screw?
Where do you get those for $7.50 I’m interested.
Check link in description
I had it for 4 dollars
Will it remove a rounded lug nut from a car?
Never tried but I wouldn’t be surprised if it worked!
Never tried but I wouldn’t be surprised if it worked!
I wouldn't think so. it needs some sided shape for the metal pins to grip. they dont clamp down on it.
Probably needs to be bigger for lug nuts.
$13.99 now. Great review!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you!
$14.99 now.. ;(
@@lastingbuild1373 You can find different prices on amazon through different providers. I wanted to get this for a friend but am not sure if there is any benefit to getting the more expensive one verses the less expensive one. I'll provide two amazon links. If you could take a look and comment your opinion on the difference of the two products on appearance, I would greatly appreciate it!

Nice review! These things are so cool. I wonder if i can get my girls messed up spark plug out?
Maybe! Not sure!
It didn't work lol. So anyone thinking about trying it, it just doesn't have enough travel in the rods to grip anything. Still a really cool thing to have.
Got one
Would it work good for car bolts?
Probably but I haven’t tried
509 metal flakes
I think you should use manual focus instead of auto, otherwise nice vid though
Wouldn't recommend for alot of automotive and mechanic work tho its just too big for some places
Good point!
Price went up fast. $15 now. Damn wranglerstar
Wow! Don't think its worth that!
@@lastingbuild1373 not worth it? Watching you use it, it seemed worth $50. Is it not holding up well?
😳😳😳😳😳I have pay only 0.05$ on wish.com and and I picked it up at the shop the next day, free of shipping. 😳
Anyone watchin in 2020

I remember seeing this product in the mid 90's and thought it was a cool idea. good thing I was a stupid kid and not a stupid adult with money at the time cause I would have been duped, these products barely work well.
yet it worked well for everything he used it for...
Midroll adds = Dislike Video
You don't have to run midrolls, that is a fact,
I let all adds run but will never let a midroll run
if I can catch it, they are usually twice
as loud , can run for an hour or more, literally.
Not all of us are able to sit in front of our laptops,
to catch disruptive midroll adds.
Midroll adds encourage viewers to turn to
add free subscriptions, which drives revenue
away from content providers.
nuts
Hi, every test you did, mmm, can be done even by hand or by a simple wrench, this socket is another kind of scam tool, not for a serious job.
These things suck they don't work half the time the pins leave to much wiggle room
Wood All of these reviewers to the same thing. How about using it on a car engine? Before making a review video, how about researching what has already been done on RUclips?
my girlfriend has a magic socket
Keep it clean, please!
100th comment😁
Why do you tap the trigger. It's not a gun.
Why are you such a prick commenter over nothing on the internet?
@@BlindReflex could ask you the same question
@@kemosabeusmc
Lol what a dingus. I'm calling out a prick on a good video. You are just wasting your time. Probably a hobby of yours correct?
Wobbling ...tapping "minimizes" how bad it is
1:00 ok no, nononononono do not talk with your hands while holding an open box cutter. What is wrong with you??? That’s not proper tool safety at all. A channel like yours should be more careful about setting a good example
What are you the channel police. Stfu if you want to criticize people who are trying to help. Start your own channel and mind your own business. Your opinion is like you... a asshole and everyone has one.
Thanks Michael for helping out with trolls!
Jim, I have been watching your videos (nice job BTW) but you accent is driving my wife and I crazy trying to place it. Would you mind telling us where you are from or were raised? Thanks
Tennessee!
8:04 bro
Wow! As advertised. 🙀
I bought one of these and find it a hassle to use.. the springs inside are too strong, requiring a lot of energy to sink it around the bolts. When you're reaching somewhere with one hand, you can't provide enough torque from the end of a long-handled socket wrench. I still keep it, but the long depth keeps it from being used in smaller places.
Good points!
if yours has strong springs that makes it last longer than the crappy ones with flimsy weak springs
I think it’s more so meant for power drills, like in this demo
It will be broken in no time guaranteed.
Don’t ever watch this kind of videos. Thanks for the thorough review, will be getting this for my dad bday!!!
That squeezing of the gun like your tapping the trigger was annoying. I was like just freakin squeeze it till they all go in. Makes you look very hesitant
You sounds like a serial killer
@@praisehim3756 this was hilarious lol
