Please don't apologize for "simple" ideas. Yes, we could have done that or thought of that, but most of us didn't and now we have some great new ideas! Thanks.
I agree, please don't apologize! You give our minds a "rest" while we look over your shoulder to be reminded of all the wonderful things we can do with the bare minimum of "supplies"!! The world is so complicated these days, everything moves at warp speed and we forget to simply relax and enjoy the simplicity of this craft.
I love keeping it simple, but very pretty and functional. It's very easy to forget a great tip or technique among the multitude of options so I appreciate a reminder and refresh from time to time. I really need to make myself a journal of ideas for reference.
Everyone has to have started at the beginning of doing paper crafts. Your channel helps so many get started and is so inspiring. Don’t ever apologize for what you post! And thank you for sharing so much with the rest of us!
I always learn such wonderful ideas from you! From someone who gets blank page stare when I sit down to craft, I welcome the simple things. There is beauty in simplicity!
Thank you, Laura. All too often I have ideas that overflow my poor brain, then I sit down and it’s etch-a-sketch up there. Been wiped clean. Probably why I like idea books so much 😊
The basics are important! I think sometimes we get roped into the fancy and the old tricks work just as good! Thanks for the reminder! Never apologize for simple! It’s always a classic!
I really enjoyed watching your video Cori!!! You have shown how simple it really IS to make great additions to a journal with only a whole lot of scrap rectangular papers/cardstock!!! Loved the ideas you have shown. Thank you!!
Thank you, Chris. I tend to overthink things and forget ideas, so having these on hand really helps me out. I'm happy to hear they benefit you as well 😊
Your channel and your teaching and your style are just what I have been looking for. What I especially love is that what you create is not just beyond words lovely, but it is practical, as well. I love all of the collage and vintage paper crafting I have been watching on RUclips, but I've been trying to figure out how to do it as a way to support journaling, not as a replacement for it, and I think with your help, I can finally feel good about doing this. Thank you, thank you, thank you! And don't quit!! I need you!! ❤❤❤
Your comment just makes my heart happy and reminds me exactly why I share ideas. We learn best from each other and inspiration is key to creating items that we love. Thank you, Susan, and happy creating!
These may be simple ideas, but bringing them together in one place is such a useful reminder. Especially as I have just sorted all my paper scraps, inspired by your craft room tour video. I can lay my hands on exactly what I need now without cutting into new sheets very often. Thanks as always for the great inspiration 😊💚
Oh Elaine, hearing that just made my day!!! This scrap storage system is working better than I could have hoped for and I'm so pleased to hear that something similar is working well for you. Thank you 💕
I myself thoroughly enjoyed this video. I love “simple” bases that you can build on. I prefer simple to complex as I don’t have a lot of creative time so I really appreciate this video! Thank you so much!
Agree don't apologize, continue to share with us your crafty-creations! I've nvr really done any YT challenges and your style is my kinda-artsy-jam! I tend to work on squares and triangles too. Another enjoyable video!!
Thank you, Cori. I appreciate and love it when you draw our attention to the simplicity of projects that we may not have known or not realised or forgotten! Another wonderful video! I was so pleased to hear you say that you might be back at work soon. That will be a huge “step” in your healing process. 🥰 Love and big hugs! 😀💞
Thank you Keryn! I'm really hoping I'll be ready in just a few more weeks. It's crazy for me to think that I need to build up sitting stamina as well as standing endurance, but that's my reality right now. Bless you, kind lady 💕
New subscriber here. 🙂I loved seeing this. I am a long time maker, but even I hadn't thought of some of these! The idea were great, and it's nice to have them in one video. I think this video is perfect for beginners AND seasoned journalers alike. Loved it. Never apologise on the videos, please. Your work is beautiful, simple is as beautiful as complex, and it was so inspiring I plan to grab some rectangles and make a few new - and old ideas I've forgotten about. Thank you.
Love these simple ideas!! I totally overcomplicate things!! Thank you for sharing your lovely teaching style. Keep healing. That idea journal is so beautiful!!
Your projects reduce the idea to its components and allows for the all important squirreling that leads to modification and sometimes whole new ideas. 😊 Sometimes when nothing appeals to me, I’ll go to my Cori Playlist and explore one of your videos. I’ll start at the beginning and create. I often end the session with a bunch different ideas and ephemera for my projects. Thank you for providing such great ideas. 😊
I love the simplicity Cori!! You make me wanna do all those rectangle cuties! And I adore your -it has so many signatures- idea book 🌺❤️♥️❤️🌺👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼💕💕
LOL and thank you Monique. It does have a crazy amount of signatures. As I look at it I think "how can I keep this from being way too wide?" It's a continual battle 😁
Cori, this really is a great reminder of how we can make amazing embellishments without complicating every page. These are all simple ideas that look very beautiful and interactive. Thanks for the fabulous inspiration! 🤗❤️ Tamara
Always so many inspiring ideas! KISS (keep it simple sister) is a motto I need to follow more often! I love how your simple rectangle scraps look more complicated than they really are! Thanks again Cori! 😊
You are so welcome Jennifer! Truly, it was a great and much needed reminder for me that I like making simple pieces. Thank you and I'm happy to hear it may have benefitted you as well 😊
Love love love how these simple makes come together to make something so beautiful. I’ve mass made some clusters and can’t wait to use them with paper clips, pockets and tags. Love your ideas. Thank you.
Thank you, Lisa. I so very much love making clusters. No pressure, no guilt, just whatever a person is in the mood to use and do. Happy creating to you!
Oh my gosh, don’t apologize, this is great for newish people, I look at everyone’s beautiful work, ponder how you did it, so this was like a myst busters for me lol, thank you very much ❤️🇨🇦
Glad to see you again, Cori! Thanks for reminding us about KISS ephemera. I keep adding to my idea book which started with your Flips, Flaps, and Folds series. If anyone watching hasn't gone back to those videos, they are super helpful and worth watching. 😁 Keep getting stronger.
Loved this video, Cori!!! You make things look so simple. That must be the easily seen call on your life to be a teacher, who loves what she does. I have a huge tub (actually more than one) of scraps that I can use for your wonderful ideas. Thank you for all the sharing you do. ❤❤❤
This is absolutely GREAT! I am a beginner and this was so easy to follow. Easy, but you have made it stunning. I hope you keep this rectangle thing going! Thank you SO much.
Even after many years of journal making. I have found this inspirational. So many cool ideas, I will be trying them all in my next journal. Thank you for sharing. From New Zealand
Thank you, Dianne and you know, I truly think it's just the reminder that is so helpful. There are so many cool things we can do in our books that we just forget them all or they get jumbled together.
Once again, You did it 🥰!!! Your works are amazingly beautiful 😍. I love the way you, with just a simple piece of scrap do wonders! I love everything you do. And the way you explain, make it easier for me to do it. Thank you so much 😊. And please stop apologizing for your “mistakes”, ( I don’t see any)!
Thanks for sharing,Cori! We always need the reminders, except I'm decorative challenged. Hahaha As they say " you've got to keep on keeping on" . Have a fantastic week. Sending big hugs and prayers! Sherry 🦋🦋🦋
Oh Sherry, I bet you're not! Gayle Agostinelli has a SLEW of great decorating videos. Find colors and elements you like and just go! One of the great things about using scraps is that if you don't care for the way something turned out you can bin it, guilt free 😊
Great video Cori, I am very grateful that you chose to do a rectangle!! I am such an over thinker, I get stuck a lot and get discouraged. Thank you for simplifying this ❤🎉
I'm right there with you on Team Overthinker! I look at a page and ask "what can I/do I want to do now?!" so, the simplicity reminder truly was for me as well. And, you're most welcome 😊
Oh Cori, less is more, and you prove that with a little attention to small details, you can start with a simple idea and turn it into a beautiful, creative, and interesting work of art. You have a beautiful mind. Lol.... hahah, thanks for the inspiration and reminder that (Less Is More)
Thank you, Valerie and welcome to both the hobby and the channel. I'm happy to hear that you've gained some ideas and, based on your comment and others that are also new, I've had another thought about how to proceed, so thank YOU 💕

Thank you so much for this video. I struggle so often trying to make ephemera “fancy” when it can be so simple yet striking! Great ideas I’m definitely going to put to use. Have a blessed day!
Cori please don't ever think that your ideas are too "simple" and that we are questioning whether or not it is too simple to watch. Cori I have watched this 3 times now and I still enjoy watching it. I am trying to make an ideas book like yours and I absolutely love your ideas in here. They might be simple, but I have not thought about doing any of them. Even "simple" ideas do not come to me and probably not to many. I am fairly new to all this so the ideas do not flow from me yet. My mind has not connected with paper yet. Thank you, Lisa. I appreciate the feedback and the reminder that we all come at this from different places, angles and experiences. Welcome to the world of paper crafting and happy creating to you ❤️
Oh Kay. If only you knew... I'd received some bummer news the day I returned and opened your package. There were happy, grateful tears running down my face at your thoughtful generosity. Professor McGonagall arrived and she loves hanging out with her team 💕
Hello and thank you! I don't have a video showing the base, but I could. I altered my process slightly, as I like to try new things, but it worked so I'll share how I made it 😊

Hello and thank you! I don't have a video showing the base, but I could. I altered my process slightly, as I like to try new things, but it worked so I'll share how I made it 😊
Ouch, please give your thumb a rest, my thumb is having sympathy pains for you. Awesome reminders!!
Thank you, Sue 😊

I just love this and look forward to the ‘next episode’. Can’t say thank you enough for sharing your creativity with all of us.
Thank you, Kate. I will share the process of how I sew the signatures in, as a few people have asked. It will be a few weeks, but I'll share it!
I'm sorry, but I missed where you got the animal digitals from. Can you tell me, please?
Yes! Those are from Tracie Fox Creative, who is Love Junk Journals on Etsy ❤
