Our defense is trash no secondary and linebacker play is weak plus no pass rush. Why are these coaches playing single man coverage on elite receivers and keep getting burnt.

They are playing man in order to blitz. You can't double every receiver and the longer you give them to get open the easier you make it for the QB. The corners aren't pro bowlers but they very well could be good enough if the pass rush got home consistently. You could rush 3 and drop 8 in coverage but there's a reason no one does that outside of hail Mary's and long 3rd or fourth downs. I would like to see the #1 receiver doubled much more though but offenses scheme to make that hard.
