It seems as if the protagonist took several years of military training and brought a superpowered photon cannon with him this time around. That's some pretty impressive mayhem, there.
Ive been trying for a while now to do a no death easy run on Carnevil and recording it, and ive gotten really close by doing 2 things: turboing the trigger (impossible if playing the real arcade with the shotgun due to the reload animation, possible if playing with the pistol cabinet), and aiming for the weak spots. The hardest one to nail without taking damage, important in the run, is Krampus. I found a nice glitch: you can stunlock him by blasting his chest the first time he spawns. It really helps. Save the legs for the second attack pattern, after he comes at you, so you can stun him. The only other problem ive had is with the giant baby (or giant teddy) boss, when he pukes; otherwise simply spamming the trigger will get him. Even Tokentakker is real easy himself if you have the patience to shoot his skellies and his firework attack. Thankfully Umlaut is not biggie as his pattern of movement is apparently set, so with practice you can get him easily by anticipating his move.

At the end that guy should have melted the coin in a volcano like the one where Frodo threw the Ring into. That way, CarnEvil is gone forever. That and fix that tombstone to where it cannot deposit any more coins. Instead he takes the coin and goes back to the place he fought to get out of. What a total idiot.
On TV Tropes’ page for CarnEvil, I saw a theory in either the WMG or Fridge Sub-Pages that states that maybe by putting the coin into Umlaut during the day-time, it possibly sealed CarnEvil away fro good. While Betty’s Screaming & Umlaut’s Reaction say otherwise, it could be plausible. After all, the way it’s supposed to work is this: Putting the Coin into the Gravestone ON THE FULL MOON summons CarnEvil to come back. He did the opposite, seeing as it’s Dawn. It’s good sequel bait...but also the possible cliffhanger that wasn’t. Since we haven’t seen another game and it never became a franchise... That could be it.

If this is an actual arcade machine (I've yet to see Mame do the intro for Rickety Town correctly), then this video revealed that the hallway in the Haunted House doesn't actually force damage! (although the bumpercar in Rickety Town still does)

They had a Dip Switch installed into the Arcade Boards in the Cabinets themselves that you could manually switch to change it from Junior to Deaddy. I suppose it was a design choice from the Developers at Midway to allow Arcade Owners the choice to make the game less graphic. Even in the Debug Menus for the game, there’s a “Violence Setting” for Red Blood, Green Blood, Smoke and No Dismemberment instead of Blood & heads/skin/bone chunks flying off, and No Blood/Smoke/Dismemberment. For such a Violent and Graphic Game, some years removed from Midway’s Mortal Kombat paving the way for the ESRB & the war against Violence & Sex in Gaming, it’s a given they’d feel the need to give owners the options to scale things back.
This game was not banned I have went to one place that still has arcades and the game still functions. Maybe you think it is banned because of the story behind tokentaker.

censorship for being a baby and involving shooting said baby. I think you can choose through the setting though.
