Thanks for this video, I enjoyed it! Bois du Portugal always makes me smile and hold a special place in my heart: it was the first creed I bought at retail, at a Sak's in St Louis. Back then they didn't even sell it in 120ml bottles, 75ml only. I was in my last 20s and, to be honest, I wasn't ready for it at the time lol. I'm in my early 40s now and it's perfect. That huge lavender on the top sets the table perfectly. I have a large collection/rotation and I think (hope!) I have enough to last for the rest of my life, I like it that much. My top five Creeds: 5. Baie de Genievre 4. Windsor 3. Santal Imperial 2. Vetiver 1948 1. Bois de Santal

You're correct in pointing out that Bois d' Portugal was said to have been worn by Frank Sinatra, like Creed Vetiver, not to be confused with Creed Original Vetiver, was said to have been worn by President John F Kennedy and became known as "JFK ORIGINAL VETIVER". I have both, and as the latter has been discontinued and vaulted by creed, I like it more than the former. Nevertheless I do like it, as it is a very masculine classy scent. I'm a bit shocked not seeing "Virgin Island Water" in your lineup. I just obtained a viw blue cap bottle, which appears to have better performance over the silver cap bottles being offered retail. Just to gives a bit if illumination on the matter, it's said that the different colored caps indicate original juice=Blue Cap, and reformulated juice=Silver Cap. As for my top 5 creed bottles that could change over time, here they are. 1. Vetiver Geranium 2. Virgin Island Water 3. Himalaya 4. Grren Irish Tweed 5. Aventus -------------------------------------------------------- If you like Vetiver, and there are various kinds of vetiver, you've got to check out "Vetiver Geranium. By far the BEST video on top Creeds. Everything from the music to the way you interpret the fragrances. I like your style. I don't own any Creed fragrances yet but I plan to purchase about 2 or 3 in the coming days. You should do this same video on Parfums De Marly and Tom Ford which I own about 15 fragrances from both houses.

Nice video Ness, Great to get a woman's perspective on things especially one as lovely as you. I own three creed fragrances Original Santal Silver Mountain Water and of course my favorite Aventus, it's a beast always gets compliments men women young old it doesn't matter with that stuff. My wife seems to favor SMW I think it might have something to do with it being my signature scent while we were dating LOL. Just recently got a whiff of some GIT i really liked it a lot, thinking about it being my next purchase seems like it would be a great spring early summer wear. Anyway keep doing your thing ma I'll be tuning in.
Haha...I must say that I really do love Aventus, just makes me feel good when I smell it. Though I haven't smelled enough of Creeds to call it my favorite. I also love Silver Mountain Water and Green Irish Tweed. Those two are beautiful. Bois du Portugal, Royal Oud, and Himalaya are on my list of fragrances to try!

I'd say that Silver Mountain Water is the most underrated Creed, but I'd say that Bois du Portugal is the most overlooked, without a doubt. Bois du Portugal is just a tougher wear for me Creed-wise, so I don't own it [yet]. Great aromatic sandalwood scent though! Himalaya is also heavily underrated and overlooked too. Just to chime in, a couple quick notes, on this Hype House: -I'm biased because I hate freshys. -I do know one woman who hates Aventus. She was immediately repelled by it. For me personally, I was hugely disappointed...my rating: "it's a nice, ok-at-best scent. Way over priced, way too much hype, but a good $80 fragrance.' -GIT: Cool Water at multiple times the price point. Instant headache inducer. In my bottom 5% without hesitation. -And lastly: Attractive women tend to like/love, and in huge numbers, the most synthetic, screechy, scratchy, freshys out there. I don't understand it, I resent it (cuz I can't/won't wear them), but that's life. But overall, Creed is a decent house. Not hating on them, I just don't like freshys as a general rule, and do feel they are still way too over-hyped for what they offer. Do love their presentation and bottles. One of the very few freshys I am ok with (but would never wear) is actually by them: Erolfa. Only because it's tolerable. And/but my favorite, which just begins to tip into gourmand (which is prolly why I like it) is VIW...that is one I actually can and do wear on occasion, and thank goodness, is not a headache inducer. Not at all a fave of mine, but a neat scent that I do enjoy. A little top heavy on the lime. Have sniffed a couple others (MI, etc) and just freshy, freshy, freshy so I gave up. They just give me headaches almost instantly. And yet as much as I'm not a fan of what Creed does in general, I watch Creed videos every time someone posts one. ;p Wish I could like them more. And I DO want to try the female Aventus; it actually sounds great. I hope they expand their line and venture into new territory.

Just to chime in, a couple quick notes, on this Hype House:
-I'm biased because I hate freshys.
-I do know one woman who hates Aventus. She was immediately repelled by it. For me personally, I was hugely disappointed...my rating: "it's a nice, ok-at-best scent. Way over priced, way too much hype, but a good $80 fragrance.'
-GIT: Cool Water at multiple times the price point. Instant headache inducer. In my bottom 5% without hesitation.
-And lastly: Attractive women tend to like/love, and in huge numbers, the most synthetic, screechy, scratchy, freshys out there. I don't understand it, I resent it (cuz I can't/won't wear them), but that's life.
But overall, Creed is a decent house. Not hating on them, I just don't like freshys as a general rule, and do feel they are still way too over-hyped for what they offer. Do love their presentation and bottles.
One of the very few freshys I am ok with (but would never wear) is actually by them: Erolfa. Only because it's tolerable. And/but my favorite, which just begins to tip into gourmand (which is prolly why I like it) is VIW...that is one I actually can and do wear on occasion, and thank goodness, is not a headache inducer. Not at all a fave of mine, but a neat scent that I do enjoy. A little top heavy on the lime.
Have sniffed a couple others (MI, etc) and just freshy, freshy, freshy so I gave up. They just give me headaches almost instantly.
And yet as much as I'm not a fan of what Creed does in general, I watch Creed videos every time someone posts one. ;p Wish I could like them more. And I DO want to try the female Aventus; it actually sounds great. I hope they expand their line and venture into new territory.
Scent Snob have you tried bois du Portugal ... you might like that one . I do have to agree with you . I am not a huge Aventus head only because everyone loves it I like sexy fragrances ... have you tried kilian I just got put on to them ..
Vava Couture Have not tried the first one (will write it down) and I too am just now getting serious about Kilian thanks to a couple reviewers. If you check them out, be sure to do a vid on it. :) Cheers!
