  • Pontiacs take over Pigeon Forge took place at the Le Conte Centre during the first weekend of June 2023. Pontiacs car show drew thousands of Pontiac enthusiasts from all over America to the Le Conte Centre for the love of Pontiacs but more so for raising money for St Judes Children’s Hospital. The organizers of the event Mike Blackburn and his family dedicate the show to their late daughter Ciera and donate a hundred percent of the show to the St Judes Children’s Hospital. This is an awesome classic car event for all Pontiac lovers and I was glad to catch the last day of Pontiacs Take Over Pigeon Forge and catch some of the winners as they were leaving the awards ceremony. I had a great time meeting Paul and Ami with their 1969 GTO. 1969 Pontiac GTO with 400 Ram Air engine restored back to original period correct design.
In the parking lot I run into a few winners including two award winning 1973 Grand Am as well as a later model Pontiac with Cindy and her award winning 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP.
    .
Thank you to Norma Hurm for Pontiacs cruise Pigeon Forge footage!

The drive by was the perfect ending to the video. And the first couple was the perfect beginning for the video. Pontiac had so many wonderful cars over the years. My dream would be the early 70's Bonneville. It was huge and had a real presence on the road. My dad had a venture in the 70's which was basically the same platform as the nova. Again not a common car. Thank you for the effort of making the show.

Hi Rana! The 1969 Pontiac GTO was great, 1960s muscle cars at their best! 👍

The '73 grand am's brought me back to my younger years. I had a maroon one with a 400 2 barrel and then I bought a white one with a super duty 455 4 barrel in it. The ex-wife got the maroon one in our divorce and I kept the white one and drove it for 15 years after the divorce. I then bought a red 944 Porsche and sold the grand am to a friend. Yes, I do miss them and they both brought a lot of female attention.

I wanted to buy a GTO but the payment for a LeMans was $50 less so the GTO was out.
