- Wintergreen is one of those plants you often see on the forest floor and frequently overlook, but it’s actually great for making a minty tea! In this video, we pick wintergreen and brew a delicious tea on the spot.
A more labour-intense method involves fermenting the wintergreen leaves for a few days, but that’s in my next video!

We always called it root beer leaf growing up! Would always grab a leaf or two and munch it for the flavour then spit it out

Every time that I go out into the woods, I make sure to grab several handfuls of wintergreen. It grows everywhere where I live, so there's no shortage of it.
It’s such good stuff! I have lots around here too, which is fantastic :)
