Steroids are bad for men and women. I would be interested in women’s bodybuilding if it didn’t involve steroids. Although steroids are bad for both men and women in terms of health, they are only bad for women in terms of aesthetic. Natural female bodybuilders look so good.
It's the genie that can't be put back in the bottle now it's out. I agree, the women competitors, minus the steroids, look so much better. And many of them build such great levels of muscle naturally, they arguably don't even need it.
It would be interesting to see what could be done naturally, but PEDs are in every pro sport. They not going anywhere. If you want to see what the physiques would look like without PEDs, there are the far less supported drug tested shows.
@@00tree i understand why men take steroids, there is an aesthetic benefit for us. I don’t see what benefit there is for women to take steroids. It makes them look gross.
You continue to put out very well produced and thought provoking documentaries, with unseen footage and rare quotes. From a keen historian of bodybuilding, I thank you very much for all your efforts. Long may this continue.
Massive thanks for that kind of high praise. I do my best as a fan and when it's recognized by other fans of the sport's history, I really get a kick out of the support. Cheers again for watching!
Awesome and interesting follow up to Part 1!!!👏👏 Theroux has a gift for these docos which I always enjoy. Love or loathe Women’s BB I personally am glad that the new Olympia owner, Jake Wood, has brought it back, as there is still plenty of women that are keen to give it a go! And no, I’m not a Schmoe!😬 Keep the vids coming, Shawn! 👍👌💪👊🤩🔥
Thanks again CW. Was a noble gesture of Jake to bring back women's bodybuilding after it was unceremoniously ditched by the IFBB. Have to admire the women of that division's tenacity and effort to keep it going
If they kept the same standards of the 80's they would be better received by the mainstream public (my opinion)but when started pushing the envelope and looking more and more like men dressed in drag..it was the beginning of the demise of the sport, having said that I've always respected the grind however...to me it's just sad and unfortunate..
I didn't see the documentary and didn't really follow female bodybuilding in years past. When Jake Wood (Wings of Strength) saved men's bodybuilding, I started to pay attention.
Male and female structures are more similar than different. If you subtract 15 lbs of fat and add 15 lbs of muscle to either, the results are alarmingly similar. But that result is pretty much not possible naturally for a woman.
Damn, couldn't he like be into feet or something (relatively) normal? Fitishising muscle is the very last thing we need in the sport... We have to make it mainstream! Good video anyway, as always!
Wow. Interesting stuff. I didn’t realize how against women’s body building even the promoters of bodybuilding were. But, I can’t say I disagree personally with them. There’s a reason why the Greeks only immortalized the perfect muscular bodies of men…

There is nothing that could ever make me interested in female sports

Great take (pt1 as well) as always! For better or worse, a trip back to the 90s bodybuilding is quite nostalgic for me.
90s is my era too. I saw it unfold in real time so it holds the most nostalgic value for me.
Brilliant review. Beautifully edited. Nicely done, bro!
Thanks again for the supportive comment. Really appreciate people's feedback on my videos 💪🙏❤️

Great part two thanks!
Thanks Iron History 😀
Remember watching and loving this episode, Tatiana was so hot
She had a really nice vibe. I saw her profile on Instagram and she's still in the scene to this day
Good video on female body building
Cheers mate. Check out Part one where I review Louis coverage of the men

He destroys everyone….. in the editing room;)
Haha good point. The edits ALWAYS win

Check it out. It's an interesting snapshot in time and a very sordid history

No they are not nigga. Look at hips, shoulders, limb length, HEAD size. You're insane

Thanks mate. Yes it's funny how practically everything has an attached fetish these days. Anything and everything can be commoditised.
Dan Duchaine was the biggest shoe of them all.
Yeah his involvement and entanglement with female bodybuilders was pretty gross - considering one lost her leg to his stupid advice
Like a Crumb fantasy.
I've never seen that Crumb documentary. I should check it out
If women want to look like That best of luck to them, it’s up to the individual
Absolutely
Absolutely not. The society you live in effects you. The health and morals of the people aee extremely important.

Thanks Jordan. Glad you liked it mate :-)
Sorry. Still dudes with lipstick to me at the pro level. And I've been competing for a decade.
Yes it's definitely not to everyone's tastes. Was there ever a time it looked good in your opinion?
