    does this work on a pc monitor that doesnt support interlaced signals because i used ps2 to hdmi and doesnt work on my pc monitor

    • @MrBob2012

      I can't confirm if it works. Both of my monitors are only progressive. Almost, any PC monitor doesn't allow interlace. Which are natively progressive all the way.

    You tested on tv led or 4k?

    • @MrBob2012

      I tested on using a 4K Samsung Smart Tv and a Toshiba LCD G300 Tv 1080p. They both work excellent using the RetroTINK 2X Pro.

      But all the video captures were from my 4K Samsung TV.

    Looks like you have your TV set on "vivid" or some other setting that greatly increases the amount of color. Set your TV however you want when you play it, but for these kind of videos it's probably better to use settings that do less to adjust the image, or just capture the HDMI output.

    • @MrBob2012

      Well on my 4K Samsung TV it stays on Game mode and can't change it in the picture settings. The only things I can change are on expert settings like Backlight, Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, Color and etc..

    Hey man, good video. What S video cable do you use for the SNES/N64?

    • @MrBob2012

      The S-video cable I have was from buying from RetroTINK website when I bought my 2X-Pro

    Hey Mr. Bob, great info in the video. I plan to purchase the Retrotink but wanted to clarify a couple things. If I use decent component cables (such as HD Retrovision's) and plug those through the Retrotink 2x Pro which is hooked up to a modern 4K Samsung TV and a PS2 Slim, then everything should be groovy without issue? Thanks in advance!

    • @MrBob2012
      @MrBob2012  2 года назад

      Yes, everything will work nicely without issues but be aware that if you have PS2 games that can output at 480p in game or while doing the button combination before you enter the game it will not work.
      480p resoultion in game with the 2x Pro will split the image into two and won't look great. I would recommend the 2x Multi-Fomart or the 5X for 6th generation consoles

    • @nicholasyork3693
      @nicholasyork3693 2 года назад

      @@MrBob2012 I've got a handful of PS2 games that support 480p so that's no good. This is rather confusing and seems costly. So if I want to play my PS1 and Sega Genesis on an HD TV, then the 2x Pro is the way to go. But if I want to play all my PS2 games without issue, then I need the 2x multi-format or the 5x?

    • @MrBob2012
      @MrBob2012  2 года назад

      @@nicholasyork3693 You can still the 2x Multi Format and 5x with your Ps1 and Sega Genesis consoles.
      Yes, if you dont want to have any issues with all your games and the ones that support 480p from the Ps2 2x mulitformart or 5x will be on of your choices.
      The 2x Pro is mostly recommend if you have older console. If you have consoles from different generations and want a all in one solution the 2x mulitformart or 5x will be you best choice.

    any way to play all consoles out of one retrotink - can I just get a switcher??

    • @MrBob2012
      @MrBob2012  3 года назад

      If you are saying every console. Then you might want to check the Retrotink 5X and as well as the OSSC. I'm unsure about a switcher because I have never own one before.

    Does the 2x pro still holds up today?

    • @MrBob2012
      @MrBob2012  3 года назад +1

      I still use till this day for my retro console. Playing it on my 4K Tv really looks great. Also this is their main line up device from RetroTINK but if you want to play PS2, Gamecube, Xbox and later consoles. I do recommend checking out the 5x Pro or the multiformat if you have those consoles.

      @@MrBob2012 oh okay. I was debating on whether getting the 5x pro or 2x pro, from what I've been hearing the 5x pro does a lot more. More expensive compared to the 2x. I wonder if the 5x pro worth the extra $.

    • @MrBob2012
      @MrBob2012  3 года назад +1

      @@rolandbaron5813 you do get a lot more features unlike the 2x Pro. Still for almost have the price from a 5X I still haven't made the decision to get a 5X. I would like to get one but snice I started my journey on how to get old retro signals for my TV and capture card. I would say the 2X pro is the best for beginners.
