Found it so funny when she was talking about co-pilot improving her lifestyle and making her feel happier while she wears a hoodie saying "i've hit a new low"
I loved the juxtaposition too!
Very on brand for Taz 💜
Same thing I was thinking
the fruit you had is a flat/donut peach! peaches are in the same family as plums hence why it tastes similar and has the pit in the centre. all peaches have fuzzy skin which is why it has "carpet texture" 😂 if you don't like the fuzz then i would recommend nectarines which are basically the same but with a smooth skin instead :D
I thought that was a donut peach, but I wasn't sure.
I can also add that i sounded like it wasn't ripe enough yet.. they're supposed to be soft and juicy like regular peaches
I love them when they are ripe
Yes nectarines are much better, fuzzy peaches are horrible texture GAAHHH
They also sell them in British supermarkets.
Pickling and Fermenting are two different things. Fermentation comes from a long process of sugars breaking down and good bacteria growing (like kombucha). Whereas Pickling is using a high acid count of some sorts (pretty much sterilizing the food) . Side note. If you want to try pickling an easy base is to boil apple cider or white vinigar, sugar and salt. (1 to 1 vinegar and sugar and 1/4 the salt. Then add what ever spices and herbs to it and pour it over what you want to pickle. :)
i think you should try Polish food! as a polish person it would be fun to see. also there are more then plenty Polish food shops all across the UK so finding it shouldn’t be hard 😊
yess :)
I would be so here for this
i second this
omg yesss!
Yes yes yes! I hope she picks this!
Ive watched taz struggle cooking before and now shes very much more comfy in the kitchen now
ikrr shes grown so much over the years..the development is just so wonderful to see.. still missing her in her green beach shirt going to a trips to another countries 😭✨
as a korean-american i felt so proud watching you eat these foods!! i personally am not crazy about kimchi, but i love watching other people enjoy it. i’m glad you liked these dishes!!
Same!❤
I recently purchased a large jar of organic kimchi and I eat it every day. I am from South Eastern EU, so our food is very different from Korean😁
@@EsmaTabak55 yum! i highly recommend recipes with kimchi, like kimchi pancakes. i hope you get to try more korean foods in the future :)
The fruit is called donut peach, the skin can be remove for those who doesn't like the fuzzy/ carpet texture. Please do a thai nutritious meal plan, they do involve a lots of veggies.
Seconded. I worked at a thai restaurant, I love the food
Thai would be nice.
she needs to do American too tbh
@@userCocoYoshie burgers, fries, pizza, cereal, etc. 😂
@@opidasdagoat deffo lol 😂😂
You are doing a great job at experiencing different cultures! You even managed to master those chopstick skills!
I love to see Taz thriving :) each new video makes my day. You are an inspiration with how you chase your dreams, and it's crazy how much you have grown and improved over the years. Proud of you!!
I love seeing your health journey. I’ve been trying to get back on track with my health but I haven’t been super consistent but I’ll definitely start getting back on track 🙏🏽💜
I love Korean food! Lived in Seoul for 2 years, it was great - how about trying Tunisian food next? Let me know if you need recipes!
I second that! Plenty of Tunisian recipes are simple/ easy to make and they won't be too difficult for Taz to re-create.
I’m not a firm tofu kinda gal, but silken tofu carefully cut into cubes, soooooo good
One of my favourite things recently is kimchi dubu (kimchi tofu). It’s basically cold/warm silken tofu with stir fried kimchi, accompanied with rice. It’s such an easy and quick meal to make, and it’s healthy too
I feel lucky to have Korean cuisine as my favorite (I’m not Korean) since it’s healthy. Most people around me are taken aback by the flavors, but the food excite my tastebuds and they’re pretty easy to do. I just started living alone recently and I’m so happy to see this and maybe try some of the recipes you followed.
Glad to see you trying these Korean foods! My partner always cooks Korean meals for me and it has become part of my every day life... I love it! I agree with the kimchi... strong at first but now I love it. I make homemade kimchi for my partner when he is missing his Mum's kimchi now :-)
i gotta try kimchi!
You must try Turkish food! Although people know Turkish cuisine only with kebab, Turkey has the only olive oil cuisine in the world.
There are different food cultures in every region of Turkey and it is a very rich cuisine. The breakfast culture comes from
the Ottoman Empire and is very balanced. I think it can be an experience where you can find many different dishes and have fun.
Love you ♥
the only olive oil cuisine? so the greek italian and spanish cuisine doesnt exist? dont get me wrong turkish cuisine is amazing but i dont think that it is the only olive oil cusine in the world
@@user-xg4cu2nx1b i didnt say turkey is the only country that uses olive oil or etc. But in turkey almost every dish has a olive oil version. Its a well known fact amoung chefs. And also some of the popular olive oil dishes of Greece originate from Turkey.
I am glad that you are so familiar with Turkish cuisine but i can see that you don't know much about greek or Italian cuisine. I can say with certainty that all the dishes in greek cruise are made of with olive oil as base and the majority of italians too.
@@user-xg4cu2nx1b I'm just telling you what i heard from professional chefs. I know how important olive oil is for other mediterranean countries too.
I would love to see you try the Dutch diet. Be prepared for mashed potatoes and rookworst and a lot of whole wheat bread hehe
How about an Indian nutritional diet! I would definitely love to see your Indian cooking journey (DAL FLASHBACKS)
Taz if you ever get a chance to visit a Korean Restaurant I highly recommend it! we went to one with a lot of variety recently and it so incredibly good I was blown away T-T
plus food always taste better when its made for you XD
I appreciate you’re trying your best but the way you struggled with the chopsticks made me laugh 😂
In the Netherlands the fruit is called 'wilde perzik' of 'platte perzik', which translates to wild or flat peach :). In my opinion it's slightly sweeter than a normal peach, but you have to eat it when it's really soft as it becomes sweeter when it ripens!
I really enjoyed your video! You make the idea of exploring new foods very intriguing and fun.😂
it’s a flat peach you can get them in tescos
aww yay~ I love that you seemed so pleasantly surprised by how much you enjoyed everything
fyi korean "pancakes" usually have a much larger batter to stuff ratio. like the kimchi pancakes, the batter is basically there to hold everything together so it's usually very chunky, lots of onion or things encased in a crispy thin crusty layer of batter fried from the oil on the pan
I was feeling sick today and watching your video instantly lifted my mood ❤
Loved this video! Could you do Indian next? That would be fun to watch
yes please!
I've actually only recently started liking tofu and I also learned recently it needs to be pressed before cooking!! Once I started I realised that it's so much nicer 😂.. xx
Love these nutritional diet videos!! Make more of these please :)
I think you should try Tunisian food it's delicious i am pretty sure you will like it especially lablebi which is a spicy chickpea dish it's very simmillar to chickpea curry which I know you like
tbh you can get the flat peaches at lidl as well :D for a quid I believe
If tofu texture bothers you so much, just change it. Deep fry it before adding it to your food.
11:31 🤣 It's a peach! 🤪 A flat peach! You can find them in regular supermarkets as well when they're in season, Asda, Lidl, whatever!
"Tastes like a plum!" 🤣
if you dont like the texture of firm tofu you should have got the soft one - the stew you had for breakfast called for a soft one, and maybe u would have liked that better. Also they normally have the sundubu with rice - it is quite heavy breakfast for people not used to eating rice for breakfast
So odd as most people prefer firm over soft 😂
yay taz, love how she always uploads around this time, best treat after work! :)
I love seeing new entries in this series, albeit it might be fun if you combined some cooking with your friends sections into it. I'd love to see you try a Mexican diet or akin for a week.
I still need to catch up on some of your newest videos but I've been here since about 2017. It's lovely to see you try to live a healthier and happier life as I think timewise, we've been having the same kind of journey in this regard. You've been doing so well!
But girl, them chopsticks 😂 I'm an eastern European and can do it, step up your game, haha!
Excited to watch this. Super obsessed with Korean culture!
I used to watch your old videos, I just wanna say you’re looking amazing. So proud of you!!!
As someone else told you, that fruit you haven't seen before was a flat peach / donut peach. That is one of my favorite fruits! I don't live in the UK, but Norway, so that's close enough: Here, I've usually bought it at the common foreign stores, but for the past couple of years, I've also found it in regular stores during summer
As a korean this video was so pleasing and nice to watch tyy
Korean cuisine is my absolute favourite, it's so healthy and just delicious. I wish it was more accessible where I live, when I visit UK Hmart is always where I go to at least once 😂
I also really recommend Kimchi Radish (kkakdugi), it's soo good.
If you don’t like the consistency of tofu, try coating them with bread crumbs and frying them, that always work for me 😬
When I was a kid I did know that pickles were pickled cucumbers, but I didn't realize there were specific cucumbers that got pickled. I thought that they took full sized cucumbers and they just shrank down as part of the pickling process. Nope, they just use small cucumbers
Loving this!!
Look out for Maangchi's channel if you're interested in korean food recipes. Love her bubbly personality too. 😆😆😆
You are grinding back on your channel, we like it ✋
the tofu soup stock is actually best with just tofu and veges. if the flavor is too strong, you can add a tiny bit of water, but the water in the tofu and veges should dilute it. if you wanna add kimchi, you should cut it in small pieces, stir fry with a little sesame oil first. or just add a bit of water into that, some tofu, some seasoning to have kimchi stew.
The fruit is a donut peach and it's not particularly Korean. It was probably tasteless since I'm thinking it's rather out of season and not ripe enough.
When it comes to tofu, if you are ok with the texture of custard, go find the silken tofu in the tube at the Korean store. It is amazing in the soup since it just melts.
Also, where's the sesame oil? I put that stuff on EEEEEVERYTHING
You should have asked the Jolly boys to go shopping with you! Just found your channel and I'm loving it.
i think you should do Lithuanian diet, it will really push you out of your comfort zone and most of it is Russian! I think if you do this diet you will struggle with the “blood soup” but don’t worry it’s not real blood. Or there is these things that are made of dough and have meat inside! They are called koldunai! And there is this amazing drink that is nonalcoholic beer but raspberry flavour called radler! Hope you see this x
those peaches are called "flat peaches" or "paraguayo peaches", I love them and buy them here in Portugal too :))
try the moroccan cuisine, it would be quite challenging but I'm sure you'd like it :D
I'd say the mystery fruit is a flat peach... or a nectarine 😁
Try a classic German diet. Like not sausages and potatoes salad, but Spätzle (German noodles which are amazing) with a mushroom sauce, Maultaschen (German dumplings), Rouladen (its veggies rolled inside beef, red cabbage, and special soups and stews we have. Also, try a German "Brotzeit"/"Abendbrot": fresh good bread(not toast!!!) With a variety of cheese, meat, veggies and fruits. Very nice to eat with other people, as everyone can make their favourite toppings on the bread while everyone is at the table together.
It’s a paragayo, a peach in donut form pretty much... we have them in regular supermarkets in Sweden
the fruit is just a peach, they are called plat peaches or paraguayo peaches, I think :)
Everytime she says bangchan I can't help but laugh thinking Felix saying "Bangchan hyung" 😂
Omg you should try Chilean food!😊 (South America) some of the foods you definitely should try are :
*Mote con Huesillo (A drink not alcohol)
*Pastel de choclo (food)
*Completo
*Pebre (Like a sauce you can add to whatever you like)
*torta de milhojas (Cake) A MUST TRY!! With coffe or tea :)
*Empanadas (perfect with Pebre) 😌
You should try vietnamese foods next !! (might be hard to cook it by yourself or find ready meals in groceries tho)
petition for dutch food 💓 we actually have quite a balanced meal sched as well!
Great video as always! you really do brighten up my days :')
Ohh, and maybe you could try the brazilian nutritional diet some other time? We have the "Dietary Guidelines for the Brazilian population", which in itself is great, but we also have some delicious snacks 😋
Correction fermented cucumber is different then pickled cucumber picking requires vinegar and fermenting doesn’t
Would love to see a Swedish nutritional diet 😊
freeze the tofu and then thaw it, cook it. the texture totally changes (:
You should try Spanish food!!! You'll love it for sure :D It is also one of the healthiest diets in the world and has such a wide variety of dishes
@lim sowq i love sri lankan curries! 😋
That sensation from garlic is a good sign. Garlic is very good for healing infections and helps digestion. In basic terms that sensation means that the properties from garlic are being released and because you may be pruned to ear infections you can feel a sensation in your ear.
I find your videos so comforting 😊 Love this concept!
This!! All of this BC same 🥺🌸
Honestly, I had the same experience when I moved to Korea. There was definitely an adjustment period to the new flavors. But now I’m addicted and Korean food and flavors.
The fruit is a type of peach! We also eat it in Italy
What you said about pickles is not entirely true, but it sure was cute :D
Pickling involves vinegar and high temperatures for pasteurization (killing off all bacteria) while fermentation is basically "controlled decay" of a certain vegie in an environment with no air (eg: submerged). So pickles are cucumbers in a brine pasteurised while kimchi is fermented seasoned cabbage.
I made homemade kimchi recently and learned this then, so maybe someone finds it useful too. :3
the fruit is a kind of peach, it's very popular in my country Tunisia and I would love for you to try our cuisine it's amazing! love your content
you can buy the flat/doughnut peach from local supermarkets too like tesco
I think the fruit is a doughnut peach, but I could be wrong
The fruit is flat peach, sometimes they're soft and sweet other times crunchy and not sweet....the former are best
Make sure to press the tofu so around 15 mins!!!! (I either do a clean kitchen towel or paper towels around the tofu and put a pan with cans on top) That will make it taste better, and the texture will be right!
yesssss, finally getting back into your videos and you just uploaded so I'm taking it as a sign hahaha 😌 love your videos ❤
Your skin is perfect! Keep going Taz, u got this!
I'd love to see Italy's nutritional diet!! And part of me thinks you'd quite enjoy it xx
Can we just appreciate how much she does for us? ❤ we love you taz
Love her ❤
The flat fruit is a doughnut peach 🍑 😆
I would love to see you try the Mediterranean/Greek nutritional diet. They have such good food 😋
I'm half Korean and live in Northern Kentucky area. I have to hit up 3 different stores to get everything I need. So don't feel bad if you do to.
The fruit is a flat/donut peach and u can get them from supermarkets here too. I love Korean food. You did great trying it 🙂 there are loads more things we could have seen but if this was your first time with ingredients you did a good job 🙂
We call them wild peaches in the NL. I love your reaction when you taste something new, you go hmmmm as if you like it but your eyes clearly day "mouth says hmmm, mind doesn't know yet if it like it"
Pêche plate. It grows all over europe but I don't know if it's native from there
The fruit is a version of peach. we call it a flat peach here! and I actually like it better, since you don"t get the juice all over yourself when biting into it, since the portion is smaller!
Was there anything you think you will keep and start having in your meal rotation?
The fruit was a flat peach. You can normally get them in asda and co-op during the summer.
11:22 thats a donut peach and its related to the plum family 🤣🤣
kimbap is probably my favorite Korean food so far, love this video it's giving me ideas on what to eat as well !!
Is it just the Korean equivalent of sushi? Do yk if there’s a difference?
@@nmen4435 yeah it’s similar to sushi but usually no raw meat. I’ve had ones with tofu or kimchi with vegetables
I swear that’s a flat peach. You can literally get them in Tesco and Asda and they taste SOOO GOOOD when they’re soft and juicy
It's a flat peach! We eat them in Spain too. Available in Lidl in the UK during Summer.
In Spain, that fruit is called Paraguayo
I wanted to say you can get a specific type of Korean tofu that's specifically used for soup based dishes that may work even better for the first dish
The fruit is a donut peach I believe babe. You get them in supermarkets too but they’re usually softer when in season x
The fruit is called pêche plate in France that means peach that isn’t round😂
Hey I wonder why you choose the clips you choose at the beginning of your videos. Negative esc clips. is if for viewer retention or are you trying to emphasize something particular. I'm asking because I personally watch the chanel since I learn a lot and you are seemingly a very kind and warm person. thanks
Thats a flat peach at 11:25
Its sold in sainsburys, tesco, asda etc
Donut peach! Some supermarkets sell them it's supposed to taste like peaches and cream so very sweet. I love them xx
Please try the Netherlands hahaha, you could even catch a train to get here to try our food. It's not that exciting though but I'm just curious if you would like it.
It's a flat white donut peach, there are white and jellow peaches in the world. I loved your video! ❤️
Omg! Taz! You just made my night!😭🥺
this looks so yummy! i havent tried most of these foods but they look bomb.
