I started playing nearly 2 months ago, and today I had my very first encounter with a Galarian bird today. Rainy, windy and daily incence. Believe it or not, but one silver pinap berry and one Ultra ball later, Zapdos checked in to my pokedex. Let the rest be just as easy 😅
Two days ago I was taking a walk and a Galarian Articuno spawned. I threw a curved ultraball without landing a nice, great, or excellent, expecting it to rip out and flee as it always does. But this time, not only did I catch it, I caught it on a critical capture. I couldn't believe it what happened. The only thing that kinda sucked that I already used my master ball on another Galarian Articuno, but it was still an awesome moment and probably one of the best highlights of my seven years of pokemon go experience.

I have a G moltres (best buddied ages ago. I encountered a… wait for it, non weather boosted G zapdos the other day. 49 cp… did the usual, golden razz, excellent curve etc, the bugger ran away!

You forgot to mention the catch trick. I’ve been using it for 1&1/2 years and have caught a whopping total of 15 birds! Too many for it to be just a coincidence there’s something there just not always catches as those videos about it proclaimed last year
I encountered my favorite galar artucino and after 5 ultra balls and 5 golden razz berrys it ran the next day I wake up and activate my daily incense a galar zapdos spawned and after 1 EXCELLENT ULTRA BALL AND A GOLDEN RAZZ it fled like is fucking hard

Much easier to catch galarian birds with catch a pokemon field research active.
Every time I’ve thrown an excellent throw it’s an automatic pop out of the ball and flee but when it’s a nice or great throw always out wiggles twice😢

You can get Master Ball from quest "Let's Go!", It catches any Pokemon without failing
