First and Foremost India acquired its first aircraft carrier, also the first one in South Asia, in 1961. This was one of the six Majestic class vessels planned for the British Navy during World War II. The Indian Navy, in need of a second aircraft carrier, acquired the HMS Hermes on April 24, 1986. INS Viraat was finally commissioned by the Indian Navy on 12 May 1987. Russia’s refurbished Admiral Gorshkov was commissioned into the Indian Navy as INS Vikramaditya at Severodvinsk, Russia on November 16, 2013. INS Vikrant was delivered to the Indian Navy on 28 July 2022. Indian Navy has vast experience in operating Aircraft Carriers than Chinese Navy and Pakistan Navy as our Navy has been operating Aircraft Carrier since 1961 and our Navy has conducted many successful operations against our enemies naval force.
India is already superpower with the population, rich culture, variety of society, military scale, economic scale, top notch elite in all areas, unlimited potentials.
India recently started focusing on it's Navy regarding Geopolitics.....warship building Industry of India seeing big boost recently. Arihant class Nuclear submarines, Vikrant Aircraft carrier, Nilgiri class Frigates, Project 15A and new project 17B Destroyers, Scorpene submarines makes Indian navy a Blue water navy. New technologies such as AIP, Ship based ballistic missile defence system, nuclear submarines, Anti ship supersonic, Hypersonic and Ballistic missiles will enhance the power of Indian navy in future......I hope Indian navy choose RAFALE as their future Aircraft carrier based Fighter soon.

that "7th position" was a ranking from 2013 which was never updated over time. The Indian Navy is well in the Top 5. Would get in the Top 3 in the next 5 years. 2013-2023 we added - 2 Carriers, 6 Destroyers, 2 Nuke subs, 5 Diesel subs, 5 Frigates,2 massive instrumental tracking ships among others. 2024-2028 we add 1 Destroyer , 3 Nuke subs, 1 Diesel Electric ,11 Frigates , apart from around 18 new Corvettes. The Indian Navy would cement itself in the Top 3 by then.
The audacity of Al-Jazeera to call the Indian Army paper tiger😂 they thought they are good at psychological demoralisation. Surely they have fear ignored the Army's victories.
the video is kinda all over the place with a few errors. for example, the s400 is for the indian airforce, and has nothing to do with the indian navy, instead, you could have mentioned the talwar class frigates for that topic about "some are acquired abroad" at 6:54 but good video nonetheless.
last time the INDIAN NAVY went offensive... it changed the WORLD MAP and a new NATION was born And don't forget... last nail in the coffin of BRITISH COLONIALISM in India was the Naval mutiny of 1946
For all practical purpose the Indian Navy is still a work in progress and will remain so for another 10 years. And that provided the navy plans for ships that are actually needed and not for some show boats like a 70000 tons CVN or 40000 ton LPDs, etc. What this navy needs fast are DDGs, FFGs, SSKs, and AOs. A 45000 CV is desirable but not at the cost of the above categories.

that "7th position" was a ranking from 2013 which was never updated over time.

Spreading peace with power ❤🇮🇳
aljazera sources and all you trust?😂
Paper tiger? Maybe Aljazeera should ask Bangladesh about that 🤡
Clowns from Qatar who needs USA to protect itself calls others paper tiger 😂
All I got to say is good luck to Indians maybe I hope they become strong in his stabilize the world
Al Jaseera from Qatar... a country smaller than half of a state in India who doesnt own any powerful assets mocking India
the video is kinda all over the place with a few errors. for example, the s400 is for the indian airforce, and has nothing to do with the indian navy, instead, you could have mentioned the talwar class frigates for that topic about "some are acquired abroad" at 6:54
but good video nonetheless.
Navy ⚡💪💪💪
last time the INDIAN NAVY went offensive... it changed the WORLD MAP and a new NATION was born
And don't forget... last nail in the coffin of BRITISH COLONIALISM in India was the Naval mutiny of 1946
For all practical purpose the Indian Navy is still a work in progress and will remain so for another 10 years.
10 years after indian navy world no navy convert
Full focus india navy
Brahmos is sufficient for India's adversaries.
For your kind info only the eastern fleet of IND navy operates nuclear propelled vessels.
India's airforce and navy have combat experience. You can't say the same for china's paper-tiger navy and airforce. India has been operating aircraft-carriers since 1961. China has only 10 years experience operating aircraft carriers. So it only has an L licence.
That combat experience only extend as far as Pakistan. Against the Chinese the real paper tiger showed up in the 1962 War with China.
It's 2024 not 1965.....try to broaden your rudimentary eyes if you can.... lol....😅
*1962*
Blue literally copy pasted information from wiki & some websites ( no mention of depleting fleet of diesel electric submarines, no mention of P-8i aircraft , Seahawk helicopters, naval bases & even showed Maldives as an naval base )
in 2015, Malabar Exercise. India shot down a US nuclear submarine "USS City of Corpus Christi" using a diesel electric submarine INS Sindhudhvaj which is a Soviet-built Kilo class, but upgraded with the Indian USHUS sonar." How is that for an experience ?!
Nobody takes AlJazeera seriously 🤣🤣🤣
Sorry sir , but you missed barak-8 Sam and brahmos on both frigates and destroyers
Our military is something but our navy is not as splendid as people think. It may be larger than a lot of nations but it isn't like US
