“So much energy” she says. Is it that nose candy Kathy Griffin was offered?

He should have asked about the circumstances of Burt's outbust. They were on the subject and she seemed open to relating it.

Sounds like every cokehead when they try to hit on girls at parties.

PTA seems like such a sweet heart it would be hard to imagine him having a fight w/ anyone

Apparently, on the set of Boogie Nights, PTA was very full of himself and cocky and treated Burt like he'd never been in a movie before. Clearly, that did not sit well with Burt, who was equally knowledgeable about film making. Burt should've been treated more respectfully for that knowledge and his decades of experience. Not that Burt couldn't be difficult, but I believe that big fight helped PTA to see the error of his ways.

@Thousandyardbearstare...Yes, and even more interesting, I just listened to an obscure IV w/Burt stating he called PTA sometime after to apologize to him and to tell him (PTA) he was right and (Burt) was wrong.
I think PTA was young and a bit ignorant when it came to Burt and his approach w/him was all wrong in gaining his respect. I think Burt, clearly realized, after the fact, that PTA was super talented, in spite of his poor approach, and wanted PTA to know he acknowledged that and to thank him.
Had Burt accepted the role in Magnolia, who knows how many more roles PTA would've cast him in? (As PTA clearly has a set of favorite actors that have been in several of his films). Burt's acting future, late in his career, might have been entirely different. It would've been cool to see...

Also, in a subsequent interview, PTA admitted he did not go about things quite right, that he "was" young and cocky, etc. But also felt the tension on the set between the two most likely helped make the movie (and Burt) better. Many still rank Boogie Nights as his #1 movie out of all his critically acclaimed films. 👍

True. Also, PTA's reasoning may have been that he had to grab the bull by the horns & show everyone who was boss. Understandable in retrospect.
And as we all recognize now, Burt can thank PTA & BN for the last leg of his career! @@coldwinter5710

I love PT Anderson movies, but my affections will always be with Burt. He da man hands down.
