We all make mistakes when putting something in we are not used to with dodgy instructions (at least they weren't Chinglish) but it is never straight forward. I did one that took me quite a while to figure out, such a fiddily jod for big fingers! Anyway, I doubt it will cover the range of the it, it will be deaf for one thing, however, it does allow you to listen where you shouldn't be if you are not a Radio Amateur lol. Looks like an adaptable kit George :-))
An intriguing mod that's given this Cobra 148GTL new life, fun times. Could this mod go into a President Adams? Because that kit in one of those would be amazing with an FM board too - in theory.
yeah George amazing kit from ray hes a awesome guy ... ive had couple in radios one in a cobra 148 gtl dx ... yep true george we cb"ers / iam mostly around the Australian 40 channels and up to 555 frequencies its awesome for that and its way better then switchers everywhere on the radio .. LOL hear a fly fart in timbuctoo LOL your funny big thumbs up

This is a first for me to see George. You are not easy. Thanks for sharing George.
cheers andy!
I've seen a few radio's popping up with the DDS kits, it's not my preference but each to their own.
I'd much prefer it from switches and voodoo. I like the continuous tuning too
That’s nice but a bugger to install for sure!! Good job as usual George 👍
Cheers mate

you could get it to broadband up to say 28.5 easily enough.

If you had your choice to install these mods in ANY radio, what would be your top 3 radio choices??
they'd be all Uniden anyway
Were can you buy this mod????realy cool
Since you asked, and no answered IDC stands for Insulation Displacement Connector. IDE is Integrated Drive Electronics, i.e. PC Harddrive.

Cheers man
Great vid George would it go in my superstar 3900
Yes, but the vfo I put in the stonker 9 'the dingbat special' would be a better job.
I'm guessing this is a channel mod. Could you maybe link the place you got it and what it is?
I mentioned it in the video, several times.
@@GeorgeEI7KO I know. But no disrespect, your accent kept me from catching it.
@@clasicradiolover have a look for razor radios on Facebook.
How much to do this to mine
They are a nice kit but not for the beginner, I put the same in a GE B model. Great alternative to sourcing a 40 channel switch
