Incredible! I don't usually comment on RUclips, but "thumbs up" just wasn't enough. I don't know if it's Sam Robson, the production, or the arrangement, but that melody line is like salted butter. Kudos to all involved.
Beautiful! I've had this song title on my mind all week and was looking for a version that wasn't so, well ... so ... you know, typical. THIS is just what I was looking for!
Soooo good! Wonderful, sensitive singing, a super professional sound, and a nuanced arrangement that would feel utterly at home on 'So Much 2 Say' or something of that ilk. Amazing =)
Strange thing... on listening to this record half and year later, it doesn't sound as good. The thing is, it reminds me too much of "I'm On My Way" by Take 6, and it always seemed boring to me. I don't know, maybe I'm in a wrong mood. Anyway, probably it is the only James Rose arrangement that I don't like.
Spectacular! Best arrangement you've done, James. Multiple harmonic changes, often more than four in a bar and all scored for six voices. Just how did you work it out? More like this please.
back here after 4 years, and the harmonies still get to me just as they did then. this is beautiful. ive been trying to transcribe this arrangement id just liked to know if parts share the same notes at any point? Or if God's mercy is on me and you possibly had the score available? Thanks!
Gentle Shepherd is a song written many years ago by Bill & Gloria Gaither. My wife wrote an SATB arrangement of that number for a quartet - 3 women an one guy (me.) The arrangement has just a touch of barbershop harmony in it to make it a little more challenging. The tempo followed the timing written by the composers. Your group did a nice job on a difficult arrangement - keep up the good work.
