    Doubt and correction:
    The first slide- during Pre-cambrian eon there was no PANGAEA as such, it was a supercontinent called RODINIA- which broke up during Palaeozoic 'era' into what we know as Pangaea and during Mesozoic (jurassic era) it further drifted apart into Laurentia and gondwana.
    Hence, the map that shows at 1:17 is of Pangaea which formed millions of years after Pre-Cambrian era, somewhere in Permean age (Palaeozoic) roughly before Jurassic era begun.

    • @indiancitizen4334
      @indiancitizen4334 7 лет назад

      can you prove that in this video it has been said that there was pangaea in pre cambrian era ??....in the first slide Mam is saying that before pangaea specifically before gondwana there were three protocontinents and so on..If you only see that slide you can say that but if you see the video properly then you would have not said this..

    Can anyone tell which side is steeper northern or southern
    And wher glacier exist

    • @SahajSharma100999
      @SahajSharma100999 5 лет назад

      Western sides of Himalaya are more steeper as our India is still moving towards northern east side, with this there is compression in eastern side of himalaya which make them more steeper.
      And about glacier i know that tere are 4 main glaciers in Karakoram - SIACHEN, HISPAR, BIAFO, BALTORA.
      and in greater himalayas there are 2 glaciers in Uttarakhand namely: Gangotri and yamnotri which are emerging points of Ganga river and Yamuna river
      Hope this will help you.✌🏽

      Nishat Singh I think she meant Northern slope (when we stand in UP look towards tibet) is steep,which is actually southern part of himalayas. Hence, in the slide, Southern face is Steep.
      and Southern Slope/side acc to her (When stand on Tibet look towards himalayas) is Gentle,which is Northern Part of Himalayas.So,in the slide, Northern face is Gentle.
