Great review! I’m really in love with my Even G1. It’s subtle, lightweight, and feels completely low-profile. I don’t need anyone to know I’m wearing smart glasses, and its minimal design and practical features quietly make my life easier. With no camera, there’s no worry about privacy either. It’s like my little secret weapon, helping me feel sharper, more confident, and more efficient in this futuristic vibe.

Really nice review and even better that it isn't sponsored. These are quite impressive for size and weight while providing most of the features I want in smart glasses. Translation and directions are critical but also it needs a camera for viewing the outside world and a speaker for hearing AI responses and it would really help for navigation directions, notification readings and even translation. A better control bar/button would be good as you suggest. These are better than a bunch of others that are much bigger and bulkier as well as those that have no screen.

I originally got the G1 to help me study, but honestly, when I’m on my board, the navigation that appears directly in front of my eyes is definitely the most practical feature!

i'm really hoping for these kinds of smart glasses to catch on. they look great and seem like a useful and cool, but non intrusive gadget.
Maybe one day we'll be able to control the glasses via eye tracking and pinching, like on the Vision Pro.
Also, i know it's a niche need, but i would love some sort of Anki integration, since that's mostly text based too. Being able to do my flashcard reviews on smartglasses while walking through a park sounds awsome!
Maybe the device needs a more open platform in general, to allow developers and tinkerers to expand its capabilities.

These are my favorite implementation of smart glasses so far, others try way too much and it ends up being distracting. The one feature I would love (and it's open source so hopefully someone much better at programming than I knows how to use the API) is the ability to display the graph data for my Dexcom sensor which reads my glucose levels. As a diabetic knowing my number is important and the Dexcom is great for knowing at a glance. I can already use Dexcom Follow (which is designed for people to monitor a patient who can't manage themselves, like an elderly person) to display that info on my smartwatch so I hope someday I could see it on here and I think it wouldn't be that difficult to develop.
I haven't gotten these yet but I'm very close to pulling the trigger on these.

Paris, quite literally, fkn exists and is known for theft. London?! Amsterdam? Italy??! Poland?? Some Europeans try so hard make people in the states seem stupid and the states itself look like it’s filled with heathens and, they definitely fkn can be, but you people do it while exhibiting the exact same level of ignorance. I could be wrong, but hear me out. I think this applies to Europe as well.
      1) these don't look like smart glasses. They don't even look like expensive glasses.
      2) criminals looking to pickpocket or rob someone may prefer those who appear lost or unfamiliar with the area. Walking with Google maps open could be just that
      3) when wearing the glasses, you can look at the map and still be aware of your surroundings quite easily.

4hours battery rayban vs 1,5 days battery g1 glasses and people around you can feel secure instead of filmed by the camera so its more natural.

Your criticism is meaningless tbh. These glasses do everything that are essential. Not like worthless Rayban.

Perhaps meaningless to you, but I stand by my criticism, especially in regards to the buggy controls

you’re looking at a review by someone giving their perspective on a product, and whether they’re usable for him…
to me they do too much for me… but they’re certainly appealing.
i think the criticism, particularly software limitations, is valid and worth bearing in mind.
