Thanks for this Jeremy; I have been playing around with my dishes, with the Airfryer for some time now, then finishing off in the Wok, the Wok can never be replaced. Great video as always mate.
ATK rated their instant vortex plus 6-in-1 air fryer so highly that I went out and purchased it. best random splurge in recent memory and it's pretty affordable. no complaints, i truly love it for bacon.
awesome I just got one of those. it's a totally great option for everyday cooking. I like the idea of using the air fryer because one of the biggest barriers for something like this is setting up your wok/whatever for deep frying and using tons of oil. and then finishing it off in the wok, making the sauce, etc, makes this version more than just "instant" although I would probably use real oil in a spray bottle or with a brush instead of the I can't believe it's not butter kind of stuff. I don't think using something like the air fryer makes it a lesser option at all. keep em coming!! also I saw your Amazon US store, will the cook books be coming to it?
Brilliant, I would definitely give this recipe a go with your air fryer! It's definitely a great option for a healthier version of a takeaway classic! - Lee
I found this a little intense Jeremy, defo the vinegar. Got the ratio right but cooked the sauce for probably too long before I added the beef. The overall flavour was just very intense. How could I dial it back a bit? Just less vinegar?
Love my air fryer, loved the outcome of the original recipie but hated the mess of the oil and double frying. Will definitely try this soon. Seems a lot cleaner.
Great recipe! I am somewhat disappointed that entire recipe is not done in air fryer - guess sauce would be impossible. At lease saving on all the calories and fat from beef not being cooked in wok. I am new here and just got a new channel on my cable that has a show called Ready, Steady (or Set), Cook and I think this chef is on it.
Great idea for content! I can’t see the point of air fryers myself however I’d love to see a head to head with both fried and air fried food. Was the beef as crispy as it would have been if cooked normally?
Interesting idea. I must admit I was sceptical filming this video, but the beef actually turned out really crispy and very comparable with the deep fried version! - Lee
The "point" of airfryers is faster more concentrated heat. Meaning it's just a quicker convection oven. Some other advantages are it takes less power both in constant use but it's also quicker to heat up than a normal oven so less energy expenditure there as well.
But how does it really compare? I've done a school of wok course and Wok hei is so important, if you are cracking the wok out anyway, surely you just bang the beef in that!
@@SchoolofWok thanks! referring to sending that crispy goodness ready to eat! 😁(yes I know after a few thousand miles crispy wont be so crispy). This is a gotta do it recipe soon!
Air "Fryer" is such a misnomer! It doesn't fry, but simply cooks food by heating the air. Traditional Ovens also cook a food dish by heating the air with flame instead of heating element, which is used by electric ovens. Anyways, it should have been called an Electric Air Oven instead of fryer! :) Great idea by the way, to use that instead of oil frying.
@@SchoolofWok I totally meant that in more of a joking manner because I love the high heat wok tutorials. I re-read my first message and I hope it didn't come off as complaining. I do love the air fryer stuff and the videos y'all do are always great.

Great timing as I'm researching which model air fryer to get and wasn't sure if I'd get the benefit of having a two-drawer model

It's a great product! Very good for when you want something quick and easy without wanting to wait for the oven to preheat! - Lee
Cheers Jeremy. Loving the air-fryer videos. Could you revisit your Salt n pepper squid recipe, air-fryer style. 👍🏽
I am soooo glad you did this video 😍
Just cooked this now. Absolutely incredible and the airfryer tech is genius!
Glad you gave it a go! - Chris
Great , would love to see more airfryer videos 🤌
More to come! - Lee
Lovely looks like I might have to use the air fryer more. Are Hong Kong and Chinese restaurants cooking this new way?😊
This is my favorite thing to order from our downtown Chinese restaurant. Can't wait to try this.
Hope it's even better than your local restaurant! - Lee

Air fried tofu with a light coating of corn flower before stir frying. It's great!

Looks great, what calories does it total too?
This looks perfect!

Hello, any replacement for Chinkiang black rice vinegar please?
Are you using Fry light spray? Read it's bad for nonstick coated surfaces

Ohhh it was a very bad idea watching this while hungry. With some rice or fajitas that looks real good.
It's good on it's own! But I could definitely see this going well in an Asian/Mexican fusion as a filling for tacos! - Lee
@@SchoolofWok Not fajitas lol, I meant tortilla, or any bread.
