  • Sunil Narine was the best T20 bowler in the world for three years. Then a whole host of things happened which changed his game. Now he is a completely different player from the man who took T20 by storm, but every bit as interesting.

The Champions league T20 was an excellent platform for overseas T20 players to shine at the world stage.
Pollard and Henriques in 2009, Jacobs, Klinger, Ferguson in 2010, Narine and Cooper in 2011, Morris, Starc in 2012, Williamson in 2014 are some notable examples

Back when Kolkata had an advantage of 4 overs every match.
This guy was unplayable, along with aggressive captaincy of Gambhir.

Sunil was ineffective as batsman against MI and CSK else I think he would be even more worth and the fact that Kolkata probably has best spin attack now Mega Auction will give him new chances probably 😎

KKR should retain Narine through RTM card in mega auction, he is an emotion for KKR fans... n his new action hiding the ball behind his thigh is effective... He is getting wicket in cpl 2020 as well as in 2022 played just 4 matches n got 3 wicket with an impressive economy rate of 7..though his batting was poor... But I belive he will bounce back in the 2nd phase of ipl 2021

All team sports revolve around the single principle of having people perform tasks utilizing odd, arbitrary, and unnatural movements or using equipment totally unsuited to the task. For example, the tripel jump and golf. Frankly, I am gobsmacked at how these guys can come up with so many innovations using the straight-armed delivery imposed by THE LAWS™. I think they are just amazing and I am going to be paying more attention to Narine next time he plays.

I'm the most anti-chucking person there is. I believe each and every one should be called, there have been tens of thousands uncalled. I think most professional bowlers do it on occasion, and think every single pro should be tested. What i am not is someone who believes it is cheating, or that someone should lose their career because of a rumour. We have technology and it should be used. Throwing the ball is no different to overstepping.

The "unfair" laws apply to everyone. Either run a campaign to change these laws or follow them. Don't break the laws and then cry victim. Other offspinners would also have tried chucking regularly if they knew they'd get away with it

In my point of view, it's really unfair on bowlers to have all restrictions. Batsman can literally switch from right to left, can use any body part to any extent to score and step out of crease to hit, whereas a bowler can't even rotate his elbow after certain angle.
