    I think being cautious of ingredients is important. Knowing where our food is coming from is also important. It's interesting how the same foods are also beneficial for pregnancy; although, I'm personally not a fan of organ meat and prefer to avoid it. 😅

    Hey Bridget, I’m pregnant with my 6th. But this time, I’d like to go natural without an epidural. All my other births have been vaginal. I love your videos and lately, I’ve been looking into getting a doula. I need to make up my mind fast. I have two that I can use. There is a price difference of $550! The main reason is that the more expensive one has over 15 years of experience and over 200 births. My husband is convinced that with our midwife and him being there to support me, that we don’t need a doula. I know you are a doula, but how do you feel about it? I know that a doula can be a great addition, but are they really needed for a successful natural birth? Thank you so much ❤

I have been watching most of your videos as I am in my third trimester with high risk pregnancy due to large fibroid outside my uterus. Is it still possible to have normal delivery or I would have to have C_Section only. Please advise.

    LOL. Tuna in a can is not processed. Yes our ancestors ate organs but they also ate homemade wheat bread 100+ years ago so if you are going to cherry pick with organ meat I’ll do the same with wheat bread. Wheat and gluten are not the problem. Italians make fresh pasta with flour and eggs. So saying it’s a processed food is hilarious. Actually the diet that has the most science behind fertility is the Mediterranean diet. It’s low in red and organ meat (like once a month) high in veggies grains fruit and beans etc. chicken fish eggs and veggie sources and your protein

      Canning is a form of processing... so is grinding, soaking, baking etc... not all of our ancestors ate bread and bread from 100+ years ago is alot different than bread now. Bread is a survival food, it's not nutritious. Plus the steel mill was recently invented then that changed the bread making process into a way more refined product that has a different effect on metabolism.

    Calling processed foods “fake foods” is really negative and it is very restrictive and unrealistic to suggest people cut all those foods out. Where is the part of this video where we acknowledge it’s ok to eat foods that are less nutritious once and a while? Food isn’t just about the nutrients we also need those treats sometimes to feel satisfied and happy with our diets. Abbey Sharp is a registered dietitian and RUclipsr her videos are very helpful and realistic. I wish this video had more ideas about how to add the specific ingredients you mentioned into meals instead of starting the video by saying don’t eat any of this huge list of foods. Maybe we could see a follow up video where we take less nutrient rich food and get more nutrients in there? Ex. Macaroni and cheese and we add some leafy greens?

    • @scottishgirl1100
      @scottishgirl1100 Год назад +5

      100% this is unrealistic. And of course she said “gluten free grains” she said our ancestors ate organ meats blah blah blah but also our ancestors also ate homemade breads with wheat. So it’s hypocritical and cherry picking.

    • @Courtneykoon
      @Courtneykoon Год назад +34

      They are fake foods though, and not healthy. If there’s any time to be restrictive it’s when you’re growing a life. It’s not a long time to keep yourself in check. We don’t need those foods to be satisfied or happy, quite the opposite. We don’t realize how addicted we are to those things and how bad having them on a somewhat regular basis is. Respectfully, abbey sharp has no clue what she’s talking about and feeds her child things they shouldn’t have. Eating this way is redundant if you’re eating all these processed foods and things with oil, that block the nutrients from really getting into your cells. Food is energy. Think: is this powering and supporting my body, or is this just a pleasure food? We don’t need to find fleeting happiness out of food when there’s so many other things we can do that are more sustainable for our mental health.

    • @Courtneykoon
      @Courtneykoon Год назад +16

      Recently I did a smoothie diet and the smoothies were loaded with fruits and greens, and big enough to keep you full through the day. Snacks if wanted are things like fresh fruit, veggies, hummus, healthy fats. I wasn’t actually hungry the entire time because I was consuming high nutrients that we need, but I still wanted fast food or snacks that I shouldn’t. It’s because of addiction and the relation of pleasure with those foods. Not because I needed them for any reason. It’s mental and this is totally doable if you have the right motivation and put effort into preparing snacks and meals for yourself. The hardest part is $$
