This week Schony747 features the Alstom Xtrapolis 2.0 which is the newest electric train for the Metro Trains Melbourne suburban network. This is train set one in an initial order of 25. Schony747 was lineside for the first transfer the the former Victorian Railways Ballarat North Workshops where the train was assembled and followed the train to Melbourne via the passenger line which rubs via Bacchus Marsh. The train was hauled by SSR T and P Class diesel locomotives.
