The Hesselbein Global Academy is a five-day learning experience that will encompass a wide variety of relationship building, community service and leadership training components all in the spirit of Frances Hesselbein.
The University of Pittsburgh will select 50 students to attend this year’s in-person program. While in Pittsburgh for the Hesselbein Global Academy, you can look forward to:
- Exploring the city
- Participating in leadership workshops
- Connecting with other student leaders across the globe
- Hearing from distinguished speakers
- Partaking in a community service activity
- Building a relationship with a professional mentor and more!
Dates: Friday, July 19th - Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024
Location: University of Pittsburgh, main campus

There is no fee for applicants who are selected to participate in the Hesselbein Global Academy. Selected participants will automatically receive a scholarship which covers all educational activities (presentations, breakout workshops with Professional Mentors, and featured speakers), housing, meals, and access to all socials and networking activities.
Applicants should note that all selected participants will be responsible for covering the cost of their own transportation to and from the Academy which is held at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States of America.
