  • As the original caretakers of Washington's shrub-steppe, Indigenous elders have passed down Traditional Ecological Knowledge since time immemorial, fostering coexistence between people and wildlife, as well as ecological balance on these landscapes. It is vital we coordinate with the first peoples of this land, including the Yakama Nation and Colville Confederated Tribes, and we're honored to learn from them and integrate their knowledge as we work together to restore this landscape.
