Nobody said anything about that sick 909 hes using!?!... Ive been rockin' my same 909 and endless fader for countless of years! Handz down one of the best and most versitile mixers out there!
It is a cue point. On the control vinyl it has 'tracks' like on a normal record so that if you move the needle to anywhere the 5th track (for example) it will jump straight to the 5th cue point. Doesn't take anything away from JFB's insane skills though.
So i dont understand traktor scratch comes with 2 vinyl blanks that dont have any sound but you hook up the decks by usb to the computer and the 2 songs you pick in the program start playing and you can control them by the vinyl? dont you have to have a usb turntable for that?
Qbert doesn't beat juggle like this. I've never seen/heard a Qbert routine that makes me even nod my head or entertains me. He's technically the best at scratching but it's like saying Steve Vai is a better guitarist than Angus Young, a Vai show would be boring as fuck but maybe technically impressive while Angus Young and his band will keep a crowd rocking for the whole set.
@rtadd BUT the only problem is it IS NOT a cue point if it had been he would have used a cue point. might be "technically" the same thing but wait it's not JFB FTW!
@getchoneckbrokeyo56 No, USB turntables wont even work - you need a Traktor certified mixer of a NI Audio DJ soundcard. The vinyl does indeed have a sound on it, but its not music, its a timecode signal which sounds like a constantly pitched whining noise. The computer then decodes this signal to work out where on the vinyl the needle is located and plays back the mp3 accordingly.
@getchoneckbrokeyo56 Google Trakor Skratch or Serato. Here's the basics, you're not using a USB-turntable or controler, but a soundcard. You got your regular TT's connected to the audio-interface (hooked up to your PC) and output of interface back to your mixer. Then you use 2 special vinyls which contain a timecode. Audio-interface picks up the timecode from the TT, so the software knows what you're doing with the vinyls and will manipulate the mp3 in the same way and send that to the mixer.
@getchoneckbrokeyo56 You're welcome. 1 tip though, check out both Serato and Traktor. Not saying one is better than the other, they're both good but they're just different. Especially when it comes to user interface and looks (which I personally find important. You can buy a musclecar but if you think it's butt-ugly you will never enjoy driving it) there are other DVS's too, but these 2 are the most powerful and reliable ones
i love how he didnt use any controllers and cue points in this video. like at 0:30 when he physically moves the tone arm down. its just too easy to use a cue point ya know
Man I'm not like everyone else I have Traktor. I'd also like to add that I hate when serato Dj's don't use headphones, use virtual cue points and look at the visualizations in serato to beatmatch. Where's the talent and skill ?
Hands down one of, if not the BEST scratch mixer out there!
i love juggling, it's so much more difficult than plain scratching, it really shows his abilities to the max
Sweet stuff. I wish I could do that. Traktor Scratch sounds pretty freaking good!
Fixt 🙏💜

He's using the DVS traktor scratch. It's all digital audio he's manipulating on the vinyls. There's no music on the actual vintl itself.
