I was in a pretty down mood and I pretty bad time in my life. I was at youth group the other night and this song was on and it honestly just bought me to tears. It’s just such an inspiring song and changes whatever mood you are in into a positive one. No matter what, god always speaks out to us, in many different ways. I was just listening to some songs and I they were pretty down songs like ‘head above water’ by Avril Lavinge and I accidentally clicked this song and it made me feel so much better to listen to this. It definitely raised my mood!
It's amazing what God can do when I was 8 I was diagnosed with a severe Gulten Allergy meaning I couldn't eat wheat at all if I did I would get super sick. My Brother and My mom and my dad got it too. We had it for years and years. But then my mom has her small group and they heard about this revival called Azusa so her and her small group went to it. But during that trip she got really sick because she ate Gulten even though it said it was Gulten free but it wasn't. So she was very sick. It came to the Revival and she was sitting there feeling very sick but then her group prayed for her while they were doing that this Woman came up and she was just saying all these names and saying you are healed! And she listed off my mom's symptoms and everything! And she said you are healed! So I got jealous because she was healed and I wasn't so she sat down and prayed for my whole family! And i was like okay I'm healed! So we tested it and we were healed! So I prayed for people with A Gulten Allergy and they were healed! We have been without a Gulten allergen for 2 years! GOD IS SO GOOD!
Hey, I have a really funny story about this song from last year. So my chapel band (cause I'm still in school) was singing this song, and there was always this one girl who would do the rap bit. But this week, she wasn't there, because she got sick. But they were still doing this song, and everyone was like, "Who's gonna sing the rap bit?" And during the first chorus, I glanced over to my left, and I saw a mike lying down at the edge of the stage, and my friend James was standing next to it, looking like he wasn't trying to draw attention to himself. I thought to myself, "This is real suspicious, but I'm not gonna worry about it, I'm too happy praising God." So anyway, it gets to just before the rap bit, and then James suddenly grabs the mike, and jumps up on stage, and in front of 200 kids, starts to rap. When we saw him go up, we all started cheering because this was amazing and this had never happened before. Once the rap was done, he simply jumped off the stage, back into our mosh pit, and kept on singing. Afterwards we all congratulated him, and when I asked him about when he learned to rap that, he told me this story. So he had heard that the girl who normally did the rap was sick, but he felt that the song should be played specifically that week. So, being the crazy kid he is, he learned the rap and went up to the chapel band leaders and asked if he could do the rap bit for that song. The chapel leaders thought, "We're not sure if he knows the rap properly and we have never heard him sing before, but hey, what's the worst that could happen?" and let him do it. To this day we all still talk about that time when James went up onto the stage and surprised everyone by rapping the bit. If you go to a chapel where they sing this song, and you really feel like you want to, learn the rap bit and ask if you could do the rap. Trust me, nothing makes everyone lose their minds more than when a seemingly random person gets up and raps. Anyway, I best be heading off. I'm gonna learn it so that I can do the same thing at youth.
I mean, yes, technically you can enjoy the sound of the song. But in order to get the deeper meaning, no. If you're not a Christian a lot of the lyrics don't really match what all of us feel when we're reborn. You can always enjoy the song, but to get and love the lyrics being a Christian is essential.
