LOVE Tyler McComas; finally a non homer analyst! He's right on. OU wins 32-19 over Tulane; offense only gained 4 yards a pass and 3 yards a run. This offense is not good and their pass defense has a lot of holes in it.
OU had better get the offense fixed REAL quick!

Total team stats this early into a season can be deceiving. Check team stats after the sixth game of the season, and you will get a more accurate assessment.

Comparing a team’s performance against an opponent who performed poorly against lesser teams the week before has always been sketchy at best. Tyler, OU is down 4 OL and 4 starting WRs. Getting Anderson back alone will make some difference. Getting Hickman back will allow these OL to move back to their natural positions. It’s likely that OU looks much better this week.
My concern as a Sooner fan is the Defense being a tiger against mid level to poor competition and being mid against the rest.......... like last year. Looked great initially.........

That’s only because BV is not allowing this teams full potential. Obviously after the first game we all realize that the freshman Taylor Tatum should be our starting RB. It’s the same thing throughout our entire team lineup. If the upperclassmen aren’t performing to their fullest potential then they need to be replaced.

Who are these guys? They don't know that OU is without their top 5 receivers due to injuries? Tom Brady would look bad without 5 of his top receivers.....

Not even a little bit. That guy puts up empty stats. Fail all day, then one 40 yard play. The 40 yard play is great, but it took 15 jet sweeps for no gain, to get the defense to scoot up enough for the 40 yard play. But when the game is on the line, when you need a drive, where does his offense rank in that? Pretty low.
@@Tijuanabill I guess you don't realize that he was a top five coordinator and you can bet your ass we would be putting points on the board with him do you realize that we would have lost to Houston if it wasn't for the refs gifting us a touchdown? And I'm talking about that muffed punt because they missed that one big time because that kid did not touch that ball and explain to me why would an offensive coordinator call a counter play on the very first play of the game? I'm confused what was he countering? It's going to be a long season because we suck
@@jdwilmoth Do you fundamentally not understand what the word "counter" means, when we use the term counter play? Its the direction of the blocking, that is counter to either the other blockers, or to the direction the back is moving. It has nothing to do with setting something up, then running this. It's just a running play. Everything it's supposed to be, happens during the play. You are tricking the defenders in real time, not based on prior plays. Like....are you serious right now?
Look...if you don't know anything at all about football, that's fine. There is room for all kinds of fans. But don't come run your mouth, if you don't even know what a counter play is.
@@Tijuanabill do you have no idea what you're talking about a counter play is usually what a coach calls when they see something the defense is doing from the previous play it is to counter it that is why it's called a counter but just admit it Seth littrell has no idea what he is doing and I don't understand what venables was thinking he didn't even attempt a search for an offensive coordinator outside of the program that was one of those good old boy promotions and I'm not interested in hearing about the injuries or how many freshmen we have or the inexperienced offensive line because excuses are like assholes everybody has one get ready for a 6 and 6 season then who's going to be the scapegoat? We are going to get blown out by Tennessee and I would have to take Tulane and the points because we suck

Are QB has only 3 starts.. And are O-line is not very good, even if they are healthy they're not very talented. That's not something we are use to at Oklahoma. We need to recruit better up front! Boomer Sooner!
We started with an experience problem, and moved on to an injury problem. Talent is not an issue.
@@Tijuanabill Are O-line is average. Having injury issues has compounded that average line to being below average. We may haver some young O-linemen who I hope will pan out and be good. But for now it is what it is. I though we could get 6 wins this year, now I am hoping for 4-5... The future is bright. We're just going to have a tough year. Boomer!
@@tracyfriend3454 Sorry but you are just wrong, and none of the other humans think what you think. We have a very talented offensive line room, according to every recruiting site that exists. They are just young, and now injured as well. It's not going to look like this all year, but it might very well be too late, if they stay hurt much longer.
@@Tijuanabill You are right. We do have some young guys who could one day be good. The guys we picked up in the port hole are not all that great and they graded out average, the only expiation would be the guy from SMU, and he's out now. The port hole guys were what we were going to hang are hat on this year. All of them have a lot of snaps and playing time, It just isn't playing out how a lot of Sooner fans thought it would. Most of the so called experts outside of Sooner land, thought going into this year are O-line was going to be average.
Not trying to start an augment, it's just my opinion on the state of things.

@@tracyfriend3454 It's not like you have it all wrong. I agree with almost all of that. The sticking point for me is the notion that we don't have talent. Again, no recruiting site, no expert, nowhere can you find it written down, or anywhere on the internet, where that has been said by someone paid to say things. They said our talent was too young, and the transfers would not have the cohesion of typical older players, who had been together all along. Nobody said the group lacked talent.
