That detailed tutorial for how to varnish is really amazing. Not too many details, but enough so if a beginner sees this, they won't have to go through that try and fail period! Which can be so annoying, since when you like your artwork enough to varnish it, then that is what mess it up, you tend to avoid using it again... That first layer is essential. Like I used watercolor highlights on my paintings, which the varnish will dissolve, if I go over more than once.... So I have now found a method that's perfect. I used a small/medium size watercolor brush, and went over the highlight areas only, with gloss varnish. Because using a more detailed brush makes it easier to just take those shimmer highlights. After that has dried over night (even though it says 2 hours, I like to make it dry over night to make sure the first layer has sealed the watercolor) I can brush on the varnish I want to use as the finisher (whether that is satin or gloss.... or matte, but I wouldn't choose matte after I have used shimmer, since it will just erase that effect) BTW: I really loved this project, and it's not often I get inspired anymore, but this really did! So I will have to look into how to get foam clay. Especially after watching all the videos you have made, where you use foam clay! Question: Why don't you like the gesso?? Is it the brand, or just in general gesso??
Pour along an edge and let it run into the centre. Alsotry dropping the mould a half inch from the table a few times to help any air bubbles rise to the top. If your material has a longer work time, you could also drag a tooth pick along the bottom of trouble areas, but don’t stir.
My 4yo daughter has been absolutely loving your foam clay videos and when she saw the thumbnail for this she thought it was foam too. Even though it didnt have all the squishing clay she absolutely loved all the adorable little animal themed frozen treats. 🩷
genuine advice on drawing cats - the ears start lower down and point more outwards (think a straight line coming vertical from the side of the face and then the other line comes out to meet that). because your ear shape is set, you can make the nose more triangular or even concave as opposed to rounded, fill in more of the ears with pink, and add tilted eyes with slit pupils and that should give more of a cat impression. source: i love cats and spent aaaaages as a child learning to draw them without them coming out as weird dogs.
The penguin one that you said looks like Puddles… We have an ice cream in Australia called a Paddle Pop….its shaped just like the penguin one… You made a Puddle Pop 😊
I'm late to the party I did in fact like this video earlier cuz I couldn't help but to show you love before actually having time to watch. Here recently each day is filled with moments where I feel hopeless. Today was different. Today whenever that feeling of hopelessness made its presence known it was instantly cut short when reminding myself that I have a new Rose video to watch later. I found myself multiple times feeling excited. I haven't looked forward in anything in a long time. But this video did that for me today even before having the opportunity to watch it. It was nothing but pure joy watching. Thank you so much Rose 🌹❤️
Instagram Worthy Art!🙋♀ I think the results are super cute!I'm impressed with the final product but it must have been time consuming. I didn't know ResinCrete/Resin-recreate existed. It looks like an awesome product. 🐸😺🦈🐧🐔🐶🙋
Hi, Rose. I absolutely love your project this week! ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💜 Yesterday I saw you had a new video out, and I thought about going ahead and watching it, but I reallyenjoy your videuos. So, I decided to wait and watch it when I had the time to really pay attention. I'm so glad I did. 🥰 I think this one might be the project of yours that i like the best. I mean, what could be better than rainbows, ice cream, and cute little animals. Mix them all together and you get Super Cuteness! You've really out done yourself with thos one.😊
Omg!!! They turned out SOOOOO STUNNING. I love how you changed the cheerleading board. Each rainbow animal turned out so cute. Like someone else said Moriah would be so proud…. 💜💜💜
Oh these are super cute! I can’t even pick a favourite, they all go together so nicely, I love the dog 🐶 if I have to pick just one, but together they are gorgeous ❤❤❤😊
Rose, this looks so cool!! Besides me being a huge fan of your love for rainbows, your little figures always look so adorable... And a bunch of them together on a sprinkle-themed board - i love it!!
Frog ice cream flavour: Hoppilato... Like, hopping, and gelato... Yeah sounds good to me at least :D They came out super cute, plaster of paris is an interesting material, I definitely want to see you try it more!
I'm so glad to see you, Rose! We missed you! I adore this week's project. You picked an amazing idea. The animals are super cute and super well done! Excellent job as usual!
You used the wrong ratio with your plaster here 😅😅 to pour you need a 1/1 ratio, the 1/2 ratio is for walls, so it needs to be thick! The end result is amazing!! Thanks for the advice on the amount of varnish needed at the end, I always do 2 to 3 coats and I'm disappointed with the result, now I know that I need to do WAY MORE haha
I love how you use foam clay, and also how you add it to wood/plaster etc. I use a lot of foam clay with kids I work with because it’s easier for them to work with and not as messy as regular clay, I never thought to use it for my own art! I love all these popsicles/ice creams. Not going to lie, I would have given up and voila the cat is now a dog, I meant that all along. I wanted Two dogs 😂. It did look a little like a kangaroo to my Aussie soul! Whatever creature she became, she was still adorable. I made a tiger shark hybrid from clay once - a tiger body and shark head. It definitely had some orange 😉 I’d share a pic but RUclips doesn’t allow it
Have you thought about polymer clay instead of resin? Most brands have translucent colors. You could get the more of the look of your inspo. But it probably take a bunch of clay, unless you get a different, smaller mold
Hey hey hey!!! That is awesome sauce so cool looking...it looks like something youd buy in a home goods store...GREAT JOB AND THANKS FOR AN AWESOME ARTSY SUNDAY! And for sure well worth the wait... 😊 Ohhhhh yea i think the kitty face was off bc of the lil patch in the center of the face and nose but still looks mega awesome
that end result is absolutely gorgeous. looks like something people would pay some pretty good money for imo lol. i've never had the patience for 8 layers of varnish, but those results are amazing, so maybe i need to stick through it next time lol
Pop some baking parchement under your scales next time- helps with clean up. Also, brushing the product into the sprinkles might help them come out next time, but you'd have to consider that in your mixing/weighing amounts I guess, or just make like a lil 50g powder amount just for the spinkles.
This is definitely one to be proud of. As you weigh the powder and try and get it exact and say "yes I am this person", I laugh because I have a recipe with rice that needs a certain amount and I get to the point where I will add or subtract a grain at a time, just to make the measurement perfect 🤣
@@RoseRequinCrafts I am extremely specific too. If someone asks me the time, I say the exact minute. I can't say it's almost... Or round it to the nearest 10 🤣 It might drive my husband mad 😂
if it helps, giving the cat a much smaller and more triangular nose would definitely have her read more feline. great video anyways, theyre all super cute!
It was the nose on the cat! It was too big cat noses r smaller and more triangular and making the nose pink would’ve been more feline still turned out cute tho!
I love your videos but the music you have behind them is so intense. I wish you used some relaxing music. I feel like it would go more with you're brand too

It has a weird smell for some reason, like popcorn. And it's not very old but it's already going chunky. 😭
omg these are SO CUTE!!!! They're so adorable, I want to make them now!
This project turned out completely gift-worthy! I freakin' LOVE it!! ❤❤❤

@@RoseRequinCrafts You can also try to carefully drop the mold onto the table to get rid of air bubbles. Just like how you would with cake
@@Alice-yq6yy don’t worry, it was already mentioned in the comment you commented under.

This is my favorite that you have done so far! It is so adorable! I love it! WOW!!!!!!
super cute! for a frog ice cream flavour.... rocky toad? XD
i'm SO HAPPY you are using moriah's paints!!!!
Frog ice-cream pun idea:
It tastes frogging awesome!
Yes!
Frogsachio ice cream = frog + pastashio ice cream cone
Ube cat cone = cat + ube ice cream cone
Orange Tigershark cone = shark + tiger tiger ice cream cone (if you don't know what tiger tiger is it is basically an orange and licorice ice cream)
Blue raspberry Penguinesical = blue raspberry + penguin + popsicle
Lemon chickensical = lemon + chicken + popsicle
Strawberry Pupsicle = Strawberry + puppy + popsicle

Of course!
I found the best way to do cat ears is to make them less sharp and stumpy and more concave with rounder, flatter tips.
Thank you for the tip
Its the nose that made the cat look like a corgi xd
The cat for me went pig, dog, then cat. My favorite is the chicken.
Aw, cute! Did you find a place to hang it / stuff to hang on all those hooks? =)
Nope. No idea yet. 😆
Frog chocolate chip pistachio ice cream, or just pistachio ice cream
This is so weird…. I didn’t get a notification for this vid. So weird. Ok.. off to watch the vid.
you measured with your stir stick in though
I zero'd out the scale with the cup and stir stick in before I started putting the powder in.

Individual floofles?!? 😂😂😂
Even though I love them matte, I love the gloss. This looks like expensive ceramic.
It's like glitter on nails. It makes everything better.
