Tarshing Quick Tour | VLOG

Tarishing (Urdu: ترشنگ) is a village in and a subdivision of the Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan region in Pakistan.
It is considered to be the gateway to Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest mountain in the world. Nanga Parbat has two main glaciers, Rakhiot and Rupal. The Rakhiot side can be seen from KKH and Fairy Meadows side. Rupal is exactly at backside and can be accessed through Astore. Tarishing has the best view of Rupal side. Its strategic location makes it an essential starting point for trekkers and mountaineers embarking on Nanga Parbat expeditions.
A large glacier beside the Rupal River is also adjacent to this village, which is situated at an altitude of about 2,900 meters.
