Yes! If you’re coming from anything less than a 7, you should buy the iPhone 8! It is an absolute beast for those who want a smaller device. I have one myself and I don’t regret it one bit.
elfstitch I had an iPhone 6s which was dying so I got this since I still want to have a home button. So far so good, I’m really impressed with how the phone performs and as a bonus I got the beautiful red version. Damn is it a looker.
I’ve used iPhone 8 since November 1st and my thoughts are: Battery is good, not the best. (Around 3-4 hours heavy use on low brightness and and medium use around 6 hours on medium brightness) Phone is really fast, but iOS 11 makes it crash sometimes. Camera is great in day at night not so much and the flash makes the photos incredibly blurry if the photo isn’t up close. Build quality is good, dropped it from 6ft by accident and it only had a scratch on the top and bottom. Glass is intact with no cracks. Front facing camera is great but seems to get a bit worse over time idk why. Also having no headphone jack has barely affected me at all. All in all I do recommend this phone but get the plus if you can, I score this phone an 8/10 (This is all my opinion and use, different results may vary with other people) Thanks for reading 🙂
i just got the 8 and let me tell you, lightning fast, great speakers, really great battery that lasts all day with 5 hrs screen on time. it’s just overall a really great phone and definitely worth it.
Nick Ackerman Yeah, I had contemplated buying the iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and, the SE. But, the 128 Gig iPhone 7 was the same price as the 64 Gig iPhone 8.... so I bought the iPhone 7 at the end of November.

I’m not ready to go bezel free yet and I’m not gonna get all the benefits of the iPhone 8 Plus/ X camera , I just wanted the newest small phone and there’s no SE2 on the market yet. I had to get something or else my phone would literally just stopped working.
The D nah just can't get over that ugly notch if I wanted a real high res full screen oled I would get an s9 or even s8 over the X. Price doesn't even come into the equation

I love my iPhone 8 it is an absolute beast! The speed is amazing , the sound is so loud and clear and it my be an older design but it’s been perfected on the 8 and feels so solid!
iPhone 8’s battery is fantastic. Works very well for me even when I use it heavily. That 256 gb storage is dope. The design is great (you’re keeping that home button plus the wireless charging). The display is great. That A11 chip makes it a beast and extremely smooth on day to day usage. IOS is IOS. The camera is just awesome. Plus that blushed gold color is too sexy. Love it 👍 Edit : I’m coming from a 5s so yeah, it definitely is a game changer for me ^^
Filip Kotula i would get the 7plus. I got mine with 128 gb with no scratches and in almost perfect condition for 510 on eBay. I’m very happy with it and i don’t plan on switching. Unless I hopped over to Samsung which then I’d get the galaxy s8+
Too much focus on design and display, the only 2 points which don't matter so much to iPhone 8-buyers because the iPhone 8 is all about the interior and compactness, not about the exterior (!) and 99% of former iPhone owners know, that the models 6, 7 & 8 look pretty similar. This iPhone is more about understatement, than to let every thief in the Metro know, that you have a device for over 900€ with you. :) Second. the IPS-display still feels great and I don't find that texts are less-well to read but to the contrary! In addition, the non-streched screen offers it's advantages, it's still compatible to 90% of all "free videos" you can find in the internet, especially on RUclips. Third, not everyone wanted the Bezels to disappear, some still hold a phone in a way for which the bezels are made for, and, fourth, many users still love the fingerprint sensor. We'd love it even more, if we'd have more options for the double-tap on the sensor. Fifth, and my last point, many people have compared the advantages of having that 2-lense cameras and they have come to the conclusion, that they don't need the better portrait-effect ambient occlusion, that the 2x focus is just a gimmick and that they don't do too many pictures in low light. Beside that, the general performance of the iPhone 8 camera is still top, great colors and the difference isn't that huge! And even fotographers can use an additional camera app for greater results. So, I definetely would buy an iPhone 8, if you want the LAST classic iPhone-model in it's timeless & beautiful design!
I bought this iphone 8 in February its white and i love it its fast, battery last full day normal use i love the back glass and the sound is awesome and over all its a good deal btw i had the galaxy s7 edge i don’t regret my choice i love this iphone it doesn’t over heat and it never freezes

(Yeah the 8+/Note 8/and Pixel XL have some features that this doesn’t, but they are just too big for my liking and don’t even fit in some pockets lol) I even tried the S8, and yeah that was a good phone but personally I like the iPhone 8 much better and actually took the S8 back to get this. Great camera (and a simple free app gives you all the features that the androids have so not an issue at all.. I personally use Musemage but there are many apps to choose from) Great speakers, great battery life, really good screen (not as good as the S8, but a lot easier to hold and to my eye is easier to see in the sun, and no eye strain at all with the iPhone 8!) And I love the design of this phone It’s a tried and true design that is very durable and extremely well thought out I HIGHLY recommend the iPhone 8!
Aramaru 1837 the iPhone X didn’t really seem worth the extra money to me to be honest. The iPhone 8 has all the same hardware inside that the X has, so it’s just as fast (especially at uploading video and things like that, this thing is a beast! Lol) and I actually prefer the bezels and home button of the older design. Yeah I know most people like the tiny bezels, but I like them as it makes the phone super easy to hold and not have to worry about accidentally clicking something (had the problem a few times with the S8) Not really a fan of going to all Face ID like Apple might be doing (for God’s sake do not do that to the SE!) And yeah the S8 is a great phone, but personally I prefer the iPhone 8. It’s suits my needs better. Now if Apple or Samsung would just put a dual camera on the smaller phones they would be perfect! There have been a few times I have wished I had the zoom lens. But overall I’m super happy with iPhone 8 and am glad I got it 😊
Aramaru 1837 are you trying to find an argument here? Lol I’m not talking down on the X or the S8. Both are great phones, I just prefer the iPhone 8 over both of them. I really like the older design. And I prefer the Touch ID over face for the simplicity of not having to look directly at the phone to open it (which for most people wouldn’t be an issue, but if you are busy and receive a text or email for example I can just reach down to the phone on the table rather than have to stop what I’m doing to pick up the phone to look straight at it. Might seem silly to some, but that is why I just prefer the old tried and true design) Also, the LCD seems easier on my eyes at times. I do like the sharpness of the X and S8, but honestly the LCD screen on this is perfectly fine to me, and no eye strain at all. And yeah the curved edge was a big part of the unwanted clicks (not really a huge fan of that design to be perfectly honest. I think I would have liked the S7 like a few of my friends have better) But when holding in portrait mode it’s nice to have the bezels on each side to hold (especially if holding one handed) I know, getting a thick case would probably solve that, but yeah I just prefer a bit of bezels on phones. It’s my personal preferences, not trying to have silly internet arguments lol

Thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 8 plus from the iPhone SE. iPhone SE really is a great phone but I am missing a large screen to watch content. I love the fingerprint scanner and the wider screen which the iPhone 8 plus has. iPhone X has a more narrow screen. Screen is great for me and natural to the eye.

Cerisette Kotomi It really depends on the capacity you want. At the end of November I bought the 128 Gig PRODUCT RED iPhone for the price of the 64 Gig iPhone 8!!!!!!! That’s really what made me upgrade from the 32 Gig Silver 5S to the 128 Gig iPhone 7.

bigmaxcc well actually in iOS 11.3 beta 2 my iPhone 6 Plus experience the best update I ever had on this phone. It was the quickest I ever felt and the smoothest I ever felt as well. If this wasn't the case I wouldn't have hope for iOS 11.3 in the first place considering it will be changing whether you wanna have speed or battery performance

I’ve been using an iPhone 8 over a year now as daily use and I love it. Only when I updated to iOS 13.2 that problems started to manifest like it affected my back and front camera, they freeze and stay black (I did not drop or smashed the phone) so I assume it’s software bug, but iPhone 8 is a beast when not having software issues

I believe the iPhone 8 and 8+ are last of the old school iPhones. Apple will be moving in from touch ID and going with the iPhone X design.

Thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 8 plus from the iPhone SE. iPhone SE really is a great phone but I am missing a large screen to watch content. I love the fingerprint scanner and the wider screen which the iPhone 8 plus has. iPhone X has a more narrow screen. Screen is great for me and natural to the eye.

It was a solid upgrade from my iPhone 6. Performance and battery life are the main improvements for me but design is outdated. I can live with that.

Cerisette Kotomi It really depends on the capacity you want. At the end of November I bought the 128 Gig PRODUCT RED iPhone for the price of the 64 Gig iPhone 8!!!!!!! That’s really what made me upgrade from the 32 Gig Silver 5S to the 128 Gig iPhone 7.

@Cerisette Kotomi That's not true. The iPhone 8, 8 plus and X have the same specs. Except the camera on the X is better. The main reason it costs more is its new screen and design.

bigmaxcc well actually in iOS 11.3 beta 2 my iPhone 6 Plus experience the best update I ever had on this phone. It was the quickest I ever felt and the smoothest I ever felt as well. If this wasn't the case I wouldn't have hope for iOS 11.3 in the first place considering it will be changing whether you wanna have speed or battery performance

I’ve been using an iPhone 8 over a year now as daily use and I love it. Only when I updated to iOS 13.2 that problems started to manifest like it affected my back and front camera, they freeze and stay black (I did not drop or smashed the phone) so I assume it’s software bug, but iPhone 8 is a beast when not having software issues
