The Wikipedia article on Australian Venue Co has been edited today. I could have sworn that yesterday it talked about Blackrock being a minority holder, past or present, but the history of the company seems to have shrunk.
100% Blackrock and WEF. It's more ESG points for the company. Notice that they are slowly taking over hotels and venues? 200 already and we only just found out about them. Soon Blackrock, Banks and other major corporations will only deal with other companies who have high ESG points. It's practically impossible for small and medium sized businesses to implement all this woke crap. Eventually all that will be remaining are the huge conglomerates. It's not like they even specialise in their monopolisation anymore.
"The world’s two largest asset managers, BlackRock and Vanguard, have boosted their ownership of Australian shares by 20 per cent over the past three years, as local investors ditched direct shareholdings in favour of passive exchange-traded funds." So they could still be a shareholder even if they are not listed in Singapore. My son and I took a deep dive to see who owned an Aussie Co. Blackrock, Blackstone and Vanguard didn't appear but we searched all the major shareholders and hey presto, those three controlled over 30% of it with out their names anywhere near it.
I think people should rock up en masse to their hotels in full Australia Day clothing, carrying the Australian Flag and proudly and very loudly singing Aussie songs. And also Demand to be served by Australian Citizens. Funny they worry about offending a very noisy minority but care little for the majority of Aussies feelings. And seriously how much money all up do they make out of a bunch of crying dole bludger compared to the majority of their clientele who work for a living.
The fact of the matter is that its their business and they can ban what they want, but that also means people can decide not to spent money in their pubs.
We need a list of the pubs to avoid, not just on Australia Day but every day. Money is an international language and the bottom line is to keep the lights on, the beer cold and the share holders happy. Australia Day is a day of celebration with friends and family. Eat too much good Aussie food, drink some good Aussie beer and wine, enjoy our great beaches. It's a day to remember Australia's achievements and progress over the last 236 years. We need to be proud of how far we've come. Medical research, engineering, advancement in Women's Rights, sport, entertainment, art, music, agriculture, our galleries and museums and our very freedom which our diggers fought for. Australians all, regardless of race, sex, culture.
We all have the list in our pocket of these pubs. It's called a smart phone. If you're about to go out, google the venue, if it's an Australian Venue Co pub, go elsewhere.

Maybe we should change Australia Day to Captain Cook's Day. Same remembrance. When the First Fleet arrived in Sydney Cove 26 January 1788, the soldiers, sailors and convicts were in no position to properly defend themselves.
