  • On Saturday the 15th of July a friend and I visited the small and cosy narrow gauge (600 mm) railway Risten-Lakvik in Östergötland (not far from the city of Linköping) Sweden. It was a very nice experience and I do recommend a visit.
This video is my first attempt using my smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) as a video camera. I'm impressed by the sharp picture you get with this phone. (Unfortunately RUclips destroys the video quality)

It looks like a lot of fun. Even the children are having a good time, Good spot of some tea and maybe lunch.

Yeah it was great fun to visit this very small railway. The track they run on is only 1.5 km at the moment! At the end station, Risten, there's a lake where the kids could have a bath and play. If you go early you can have a picnic there and take a later train back.

Thanks Mike! I'm glad I found out about this small nice railway. It turns out that we have several normal and narrow gauge heritage railways here in Sweden too. This one was only 1,5 hours away by car. An interesting fact for you English is that one of the German built steam locos at RLJ had bullet holes in it! Probably made by a Spitfire or Typhoon or some other allied aircraft during WW II :) (The loco was built after WW I)

Today I happened to go into the RUclips Creators Studio and noticed two comments marked as possible spam. One was yours! I can't understand why they've done that. So I'm very sorry that I haven't noticed your comment until now.
Thanks for watching my little train adventure! :)
