    Always nice to get new videos posted on a Saturday from one of favourite detailers. I think you maybe be right about the buffer trails. Someone got in over their heads. Using a rotary is a skill onto itself. And I noticed some “toothpickery” being performed,(that’s a Jim White reference) and I got my platform today. Got it at the local Homie Depot. I bought the 375 lb capacity and it was $107 (Cdn) plus the government’s cut of course. Enjoyed this one. Till the next one..

    The dark blue metallic paint looked fantastic as Gyeon wax is one of my favorite waxes. I still need to try glossome wax too. Excellent work as always enhancing the hammered paint and there is nothing any of us could do about the fiberglass failing where it was previously damaged. Finally the Chevy motor sounds awesome as it chirped the tires up shifting. Thank you for the video.

    How a beautiful car like that could have been allowed to degenerate to that condition makes me ill. You did your best to bring it back from Winter Beater status without having the customer pay an arm and a leg. I myself also own a C7 Corvette that I bought new. But it sat at the dealers lot for over six months. Surprised how much water spots, industrial fallout and oxygenation it had. It took me three days of careful and patient detailing to bring it to show car perfection. All thanks going to watching and learning from you RUclips detailers. Each with your own technique but in the end doing it good. A joy watching you all.

    Wow, that paint was really F'ed. It's almost as if this car is parked outside. You did what you could with what you were working with. Even still, with the spots, you guys did an awesome job.
    I do have a question though, when you applied the wax. I've seen some RUclipsr say that when you apply wax, it's better and more efficient to go in small circles to apply wax versus going in straight lines. His reasoning was you will have uneven spread and high spots. I haven't seen this myself, since I keep even pressure and even application on my applicator to avoid such thing.
    By the way, that Gollum voice was pretty spot on! Haha!!

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 года назад +2

      Thanks man!
      Yeah I heard that also about using circular motions to apply. I can apply using both methods. Sometimes I go in circular motions and then straight lines. As long as I can see the application evenly going on the paint it’s fine. Actually I prefer to machine apply because it’s faster and more efficient.

    • @MirandaDetailing

      Thanks! I haven’t gone through a full bottle yet so hard to tell. But it looks like maybe 15-20 vehicles if you apply thin. I do use it on the polisher also and that’s even better! I forget which videos I showed that but I’m sure you may find them if you go back a few months.

    Phil, sadly enough, this is one of the reasons I got rid of my C7. The paint, is just complete trash. And that solvent pop, is from the factory. I didn’t notice it until I took the car home, and noticed it, with 50 miles on the car. I didn’t even know what it was, until I’d owned the car for over a year, and the dealer refused to do an thing about it. The orange peel ended up being the ultimate demise, for me. I just couldn’t stand how the car looked. I’m going to guess this is a 2015, because the rear decklid didn’t self close when you slammed it. The 2016 and newer, you just pull the desk lid down, and click it, and it sucks it closed. And checking the paint depth on these, isn’t impossible, you just need a $1,200 paint depth gauge.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 года назад +1

      Yeah that’s unfortunate. Some manufacturers paint is just terrible.

    What do you do to get the customer to drop off and pick up at a specific time ? Also what do you do if they show up late or can’t come until next day and you need to start another car and it raining for example ? I always find myself waiting around for these people to drop off and pick up try to give set time but not everyone is prompt. Also how do you store your wheel bucket mits and brushes in between use do you dry out all the buckets each time? The car I did the other day was just like this .

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 года назад +2

      We simply tell them what time to drop it off. We don’t over book ourselves that way we don’t have other vehicles in the way. We only do one vehicle per day now.
      We rinse out our wheel buckets and store the brushes on a rack to dry out.

      @@MirandaDetailing I made a form and just sent it to the first person haven’t gotten the form back? I told them like you said to get the appointment they fill it out still nothing how long do you wait until calling them back or booking something else for that day, also I didn’t give a good reason why I was sending the form, what can I say on the phone to tell them I’m sending the form and why, I asked if email or text was easier to receive

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 года назад +2

      Just send them a quick text and ask if they received it and have any questions.
      I f they fill it out or have issues with it. I wouldn’t deal with them.
      I tell them that this is our standard form we have all of our customers fill out and sign. It’s our “terms and agreement” form that must be read and sign before we preform any services on your vehicle.

    Question. If I use an APC on my car. Do I necessarily need to wax the car afterwards?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 года назад +2

      Hi. It depends on the type of apc used. Most ph neutral cleaners won’t strip waxes. But any high ph APC’s will weaken waxes and sealants. So you do need to reapply.

      Hi. The paint gauge I have only reads metals. If you want a gauge that can read plastics you have to spend $2000+ 😬

      Oh geez Phil you make me laugh. So the music changes with the type of car? Guitars blazing and head banging music for the Vette! I almost beat my head on the kitchen table. Lol. If you had a model A ford, would you play "in the good Ole summertime?" LOL.
      Oh my.
      That poor Z06. What a shame. $100,000 cars get abused too. Makes me feel ill.
      I have a Vette coming next month. 2013 anniversary model.
      Question time: how do you handle the vinyl decal on the hood? Should I be nervous? I have light polishes. Would you say that blue paint was hard clearcoat? How did you like the gyeon interior detailer? Just got some. Ok. Enough questions. Vette looked great! Super job on hammered car. Hi wife!
