- Today we're letting a bot decide what weapon I have to use for each boss...AGAIN!
This concept has been one of my favourites over the years and I've been meaning to do another iteration of it for a long time. And today, nearly 5 years later, we're finally getting around to it :)
★Rules★
-The weapon selected must be used against the next boss unless a "re-roll" is used.
-Traps may be used to help grind but are not permitted during boss fights.
-A maximum of 5 re-rolls are available throughout the whole run
-All bosses must be defeated.
-If no more re-rolls are left and the player is unable to beat the boss, the run is over.

You should hang each weapon above the boss trophies when you complete them

BIG BRAIN
Rolling the tin shortsword as your first weapon in both versions of the challenge was exceedingly unlikely. Using the inferior copper shortsword instead because of a lapse in game knowledge in both versions of the challenge made me feel like I was in a time loop.

I feel insane i have always thought copper was better than tin??
@rainkit1930 the 1.2 ores are better than their original counterparts, at least in terms of the basic ores
tin > copper
lead > iron
tungsten > silver
platinum > gold

You could have fished for the Storm spear at 17:38 from Oasis crates. Shame you had to resort to "other methods" but I'm so happy the challenge has returned!
Fishing is a fate worse than cheating for some people.

Fishing on its own isn't that bad. Fishing for biome crates, however? It's an extremely painful chore to do, even with crate potions and good fishing power.
It don’t bother me. The journey to get the weapon doesn’t impact the fight (the main challenge) so it’s whatever

5:15 yeah, the Magiluminescence is wildly underrated. it's insane for mobility, it also makes you almost instantly get up to speed with hermes boots
it's speed, enough turn speed to replace a dash in some cases, and some light, which is just nice
A little-known, yet extremely important fact about the Magiluminescense is that it is one of only a couple speed boosts in the entire game that also _adds_ to boot top speed. Even Shadow Armor probably doesn't, but I haven't tested this theory. I fought Wall Of Flesh in Expert mode with Shadow Armor and this accessory my first time through - Magiluminescense for top speed, and Shadow Armor for extra acceleration in case I crashed into anything (which I did.) Food buffs also increase acceleration, and turn you into a missile with instant launch time into boot speed if you have the other two. It takes about 0.3 seconds, by my estimation.
Not to mention the light
So, fun fact, you also chose the copper shortsword instead of the tin shortsword in the original run as well.
Fishing would solve a lot of your troubles with ores (tin shortsword) and chest loot (accidentally selling the Storm Spear)

Two callbacks on King Slime? First he gets the same weapon as "Bot chooses my weapon" season 1, then Eye tries to spawn, like his "Weapon changes every minute" challenge.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, you can 'reforge' any crafted weapon for free. You throw it into shimmer, it becomes its materials, then you just craft it again. It's called Shimmer Reforging.

i feel like it would be cool, if you do decide to do this yearly, to keep weapons from previous years excluded and see how many years in a row you can clear while the weapon pool gets smaller and smaller as well

I remember using this program for a playthrough and I had to fight Deerclops with a Palm Wood Sword. Genuinely some of the most fun I had in Terraria ever.

it makes it so you have to use stuff you'd never otherwise, it's an interesting challenge

My head canon is that the reason hitting the outer parts of king slime doesn't matter is because that part is just pure jam and can close/regen instantly while the inner parts are more solid/uniform like jelly

i was doing 3 weapons per boss when i did this instead of rerolls. it left room for some fun synergies and usually leaves u with some decent enough option
You got the bladed glove so fast. It took me around 10 hours to get it.
