if a person is tested positive for covid 19 they can upload the result on the app and then the app will trace the device's travel history according to which it will send warning to other users nearby .
and also from the self assessment test, if someone is at high risk nearby you will be notified.

Its mandatory for Infected individuals ones who visit doctors or are in Hospital to download the app.
Iam too scared to download it. Have you checked whether Permissions, Location access, etc required ? If so, then, my Privacy is totally finished.
Even Facebook insta and other apps ask for ur location details...if location will not be accessed how they are going to give u alert. .

How will the app know that the person in front of me is infected or not?
When a person is infected they notify everyone who came in contact with him previously through the app. Like your app stores everyone you came in contact with. If you get infected then the govt uses the app data to notify everyone else. Does thay make sense?
