theres 4 or 5 harmonies she sang each individually and stacked them❤️ look up "i care beyonce background vocals" and watch the video with her studio engineer discussing how they layer her vocals. he said they're can be up to 100 tracks and shell keep going until she's satisfied. she has extensive knowledge in music theory & composition not to mention most of the time she lays her own tracks, shes in full artistic control. she quite literally uses her voice like a painbrush and fills in all that empty space. when you listen to this part again i encourage you to notice how there seems to be no "space" for the instrumental because of how full her vocals were

I guess your computer/phone has got an editing app, I can't think of any other way you could've edited out the instrumental track, and edited out Lady Gaga's vocals during this section of the song at 0:39, and I love hearing Beyoncé singing the chorus without Lady Gaga, as it sounds very interesting. I've been looking for a version of the other song they did together (Video Phone), in which Lady Gaga sings the 3rd chorus without Beyoncé, in the same manner as Beyoncé singing the final chorus of this song without Lady Gaga, and so far, I can't find one. And I'd be very interested in hearing a version of Video Phone where Lady Gaga sings the 3rd chorus without Beyoncé, and until such a version can be uploaded onto RUclips, I'll just have to use my imagination as to what Video Phone would sound like in a version with Lady Gaga singing the 3rd chorus without Beyoncé. That's cause in the finished versions of these songs, just as in this song, you can barely hear Beyoncé when she and Gaga are singing together, as Lady Gaga overpowers her voice, so does Beyoncé overpower Lady Gaga's voice in Video Phone. So I'm requesting an upload of Video Phone where Lady Gaga sings the 3rd chorus without Beyoncé. This is only the second upload request I've made so far on RUclips.
