      @@SJO897 90s has watered down teams. They still had good players but with expansion you didn't have teams like LA, Philly and Boston, Milwaukee in the early 80s, the Spurs for a couple of years were loaded
      Teams great players as well as the backcourt. Just deeper overall.
      For example Jabbar, Worthy, Johnson, with a Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo coming off the bench. He had been a 3 time scoring champion and leage MVP.
      80s squads too many weapons.

      Not really....Kareem wasn't really himself post 1983 and magic took over at that point and worthy helped...the 80s lakers roster like the 2017 warriors were stacked as fuk otherwise magic and Kareem probably only win 2 titles together...adding worthy changed their fate as Kareem was aging and magic was passive..

      @@razkable - Kareem continued to play great basketball after 1983. He was the MVP in the 1985 Finals. He was on the All-NBA team in 1983-84, 1984-85, and 1985-86. He was on the All-Defensive team in 1983-84.

    This is my favorite squad. I am a child of the 80's, & a Lakers fan. I love Kareem, Magic, Worthy, and all the rest of them from that era. Pat Riley is my favorite coach. I am still very 💔 about The Black Mamba. The only mistake The Lakers did was put stinking LaBron James on the team. Otherwise I 💘 L.A. 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

    Kareem carried that offense the first 5 years of showtime. When the game got close everyone knew who was getting the ball. It wasnt Magic. They played great together, both unselfish but dont get it twisted Jabbar was the bread and butter.

      My favorite player ever. I stopped watching the NBA all together when he went to Houston cause i knew he would never win a ring.Him, Larry (my 2nd favorite player) and Magic (who introduced me to b-ball) are my favorite players ever. They trascend time!

      Kareem shot the ball much better than Moses, Kareem had higher FG and FT percentages. Kareem played excellent defense on Moses and also played great team defense. Kareem blocked 7 shots and had 3 steals. Kareem won his matchup with Moses, as usual even at age 38. Barkley's great play kept the 76ers in the game, but Kareem and Magic were too good for them.

    The Sixers lost to New Jersey in 1984. They lost their edge. Moses wasnt as hungry as he had been. Sugar Ray Richardson a killer. The 80s was ruthless.
    Thats why LA and Kareem deserve respect. Its easy to get satisfied after you win a couple rings. Jabbar checking in with 6. Period.
